We saw some really high spreads and some really bad spreads in the NFL last week. However, now that we’ve made it past a week of bad matchups, we finally get to a week worth watching. With that comes some really good opportunities to bet the games.

Last week, things were all over the place in the NFL. The Buffalo Bills blew someone out again. They played so well, the Bills realized they no longer needed the services of Nathan Peterman, much to the chagrin of bettors around the world. Playoff contenders in the Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals all got blown out. Former contenders like the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars may have seen their seasons end.

Also, the New York Giants won a game. The Nick Mullens love affair was short lived. This week, it all surrounds the best matchup of the year. The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams head into Week 11 with one loss apiece. This game was supposed to be played in Mexico City, but the field looked as bad as a Nathan Peterman-led offense (last joke, I swear). Now, they will head to LA where it will likely be a very split crowd because of the last minute nature of the move.

We did average in our picks last week. There are still seven weeks to get back to even, but going .500 or slightly worse every week is not the way to do it. Here’s to a big betting week. Let’s make some money together.

Last Week: 6-7-1
This Season: 65-72-6

As usual, we get our lines from Westgate.

Green Bay Packers @ Seattle Seahawks (-2.5)

Once again, we get a great matchup on Thursday Night Football. Last week, we thought we had one of the better matchups of the year, but the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up running away with it. With this happen this week?

Thursday night matchups are very unpredictable. Especially when looking at two teams like the Packers and the Seahawks, anything can happen.

After a one week break from difficult matchups, Green Bay goes right back to Seattle. Aaron Rodgers has been doing his best to win these hard matchups on the road, but he seems to come up just short. In fact, the Packers are winless on the road. If the Packers can’t win in Detroit, how are they going to win in Seattle, which still holds one of the best home-field advantages in the league?

What’s interesting about this matchup is the loser is likely out of the playoff picture for good. Seattle remain schedule is interesting. They play the 49ers and Cardinals three more times, but take on the Vikings, Panthers and Chiefs besides that. Seattle only lost to the Chargers and Rams at home. The Packers are not that same caliber of team.
