DraftKings European League Basketball Picks November 16
We are back with a balanced DraftKings EuroLeague round with four Thursday and four Friday games. Friday is more top heavy than Thursday despite the most expensive at each position playing on Thursday. There is more value here as well.

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!

Guards:
The great all around play of Nick Calathes makes him a strong building block on any slate, but especially when he has a good matchup. Calathes doesn’t rely on scoring, so I’m not all that big on the number beside the name, but it could help increase his already strong output.
I don’t trust anyone in the CSKA backcourt against Munich, so that takes out three of the next four. Nate Wolters doesn’t have a great matchup, but he has reached 20 DraftKings points in every game this season. That gives him a strong floor for cash games, but it’s nowhere near the 3x value you need to take down a GPP.
There are a ton of $9,0000 guards here, and none of them really get me excited to have them in my lineup. The matchup for Scottie Wilbekin is great, but he has only hit 3-14 shots over the last two rounds. I think I like Deandre Kane better out of the Tel Aviv backcourt right now. I would probably even take Michael Roll over Wilbekin right now. The signing of Ramon Sessions seems to have but a huge chunk out of Wilbekin right now, and considering how Sessions looked in his first game, I’m a fan against Gran Canaria.
Vasilije Micic appears to be the best of the lot despite not having the name recognition. Micic has at least 25 DraftKings points in each of the last three rounds.
Nihad Dedovic and Stefan Jovic are both strong for Munich, and the CSKA backcourt hasn’t been as good defensively as you would think with the names in it. Petteri Koponen could be a good way to get exposure to the Munich backcourt without becoming too heavily invested.
Albert Oliver saw more run with Luke Nelson out for Gran Canaria. Leo Westermann has been able to do a lot with few minutes, but the matchup against Barcelona could stifle his value. We have seen Westermann still rack up 9 and 11 DraftKings points in six and nine minutes respectively. If his minutes are that low today though, he wont hit double digits against Barcelona.
Forwards:
I think it’s going to be tough going for the CSKA guards, so I expect a strong game from Will Clyburn up front. I also like Kyle Hines here as well.
Ante Tomic has topped 25 DraftKings points in each of the last five rounds, but that will be tested against Zalgiris. It is probably more prudent to just go with Brandon Davies of Zalgiris.

The value is gone on DJ Strawberry, but he is capable of putting up big numbers in the right matchup. The matchup against Tel Aviv looks enticing. If you don’t like the inconsistency of Strawberry, Tibor Pleiss has been consistently good for Efes this year.
Devin Booker has racked up 60.25 DraftKings points over his last two games. With a matchup against CKSA looming, that number may not go down anytime soon.
Tarik Black is likely to play today, which is great news for us because this is the best possible matchup for Black. Gran Canaria has been a mess up front, and Black should capitalize on this. Former Syrcause star Johnny O’Bryant was big with Black out. Will Tel Aviv play them together?
James Gist is never going to put up big numbers, but he is one of the most consistent guys in the entire league. Gist has between 13 and 19 DraftKings points in every round this season.
Adam Hanga started all but one of last year’s 26 games for Barcelona, so it stands to reason that he will be back in that role soon. Hanga played 19 minutes against Khimki last round, putting up 18 DraftKings points. Enjoy the low price for now. It wont last long.
Gran Canaria has been playing a ton of players up front trying to get a matchup that works. It’s frustrating when trying to build a lineup, but it can also provide value for guys like Xavier Rabaseda and Marcus Eriksson. Both are solid punts if you need to go really cheap.
