NFL DFS: Week 11 FanDuel Early Only Cash Plays
Got your Week 11 FanDuel NFL DFS lineups all set and looking for a good reason to avoid tinkering with them? Make some more lineups on some smaller slates!! This article will focus on the top cash game plays for the 1PM only slate on Fanduel.
For the newbies, NFL DFS cash games are simply the games in the lobby that are 50/50 or close to that to win. These are basically all of the games other than the tournaments, and guaranteed prize pool tournaments (GPP’s). Head-to-Head’s (H2H), 50/50, and double-ups would best summarize cash games.
Let’s continue by saying this, if you don’t like chalk, these slates are not for you. This article highlights who the top options are in my opinion, and whether they are popular plays or not is not any of my concern. I am just trying to give you a good starting point and a few plays to build around for this seven-game slate. With that said, let’s move along and see how last weeks sample lineup played out.
Week 10 Recap:
I am a big fan of transparency, and I will be the first to admit I do not always get them right. But I think if you appreciate the conclusions I come to by you doing further research yourself, then I know you will be back for another read. Again, I am always here to help so reach out to me on Twitter, and that sample lineup is just a SAMPLE cash lineup. Regardless, I will play it every week, and we will track it right here!
QB – Patrick Mahomes – $9,800 – 20.06
RB – Kareem Hunt – $9,000 – 10.6
RB – Alvin Kamara – $8,800 – 24.2
WR – Calvin Ridley – $6,600 – 5.5
WR – Larry Fitzgerald Jr. – $5,800 – 8
WR – John Ross – $5,600 – 10.9
TE – David Njoku – $5,400 – 2.3
FLEX – Duke Johnson Jr. – $5,600 – 12.6
DEF – Washington Redskins – $3,400 – 17
Total 111.16
Well it certainly wasn’t pretty, but somehow this lineup was barely able to squeak in the cash in my 100-man 50/50’s, but nowhere else. The 111.16 FDP didn’t even sniff the money in GPP’s but the overall cash games I selected were able to keep me barely in the green. A small win is a win in my book since this is a cash games article right? That means we are streaking, and going for four in a row this Sunday.
When John Ross scored early, I thought there was no doubt this lineup was on to great things. However, my expensive Chiefs did not quite live up to their salaries, and I missed on tight end once again. One thing that was a breath of fresh air however, was the fact that I finally nailed a defense, and when all was said and done, it turned out to be the difference.
We only have seven games this week as the byes are close to wrapping up, and the same can be said next week, as we will have the three Thanksgiving Thursday games. My plan is to write something up for the Turkey Day slate, so keep an eye out for that Wednesday night.
This week looks fun, as it may not be as chalky as other weeks. It will be interesting to see if folks pay up for Cam Newton in cash, or do what the projections say and play Eli Manning. You can’t spell elite without Eli, so I am hopping on this train and targeting the Buccaneers defense once again.

QB – Cam Newton – Carolina Panthers – $8,600
Yes Newton is the play, and I have spent up for QB’s here three straight weeks and won with that strategy, but this slate is just screaming at me to buck the trend. Cam has been an elite fantasy QB this season, averaging 23.3 FDP points per week through nine games. He has thrown for exactly two touchdowns in every game through the last seven, and this week his Panthers will travel to Detroit to face to 3-6 Lions.
The match-up isn’t great, but the Lions do have some holes in the secondary, and I think Cam will add some yards on the ground as he always does. I personally once again love three of the four running backs at the top this week, and will be jamming them in, instead of paying up at QB. I am actually going to roll out Eli in cash which is something I didn’t think was possible, but the Bucs defense is just that bad right now. I would say pray for me, but I think I am just eating the chalk with Manning.

RB – Saquon Barkley – New York Giants – $8,800
Well I don’t have my Chiefs to target this week as they square off the Rams on what should be the best Monday Night Football game we have seen in a while. That is fine though, because we do have the Tampa defense to pick on once again, and I am all about this stack of Barkley, Eli, and one pass catcher we will talk about later, in cash games.
Barkley has really struggled to get anything going on the ground in the last three games, and the Bucs are actually decent against the run and horrid against the pass. However, I think Barkley will get his carries in the second half here, and is extremely active in the passing game throughout. He was only targeted five times last week against the 49ers, and had seen double-digit targets in the previous three. Despite the recent solid play of Odell Beckham Jr., this offense still goes through Barkley, and he is my top RB on this slate.
RB – Ezekiel Elliott – Dallas Cowboys – $8,400
Technically Zeke would come in as 1B to Barkley’s 1A if we were doing rankings here, as both are in absolute crush spots here. If you are looking for the chalk lock this week, look no further than Elliott. The fact that he is priced lower than Barkley and Christian McCaffrey is kind of odd, but one can argue all three are must starts here with the FLEX position, and I am 100% on board with argument.
The match-up for Barkley is too solid to ignore, and the play of CMC over the last two weeks has been nothing short of incredible. He has scored five TD’s in those two games, and averaged a cool 32.25 FDP, breaking 30+ FDP in each.
Elliott was no slouch though last week, as he lit up the Eagles in a bounce back game, running for 151 yards on 19 carries, and adding 36 in the air on six catches. This match-up here might be the best of three, as the Falcons are among the worst in the league at defending pass catching running backs. I know we don’t technically think of Zeke as a pass catching back, but he is targeted much more often in the passing game than you might think. He should be huge again this Sunday in Atlanta.
***Also Consider: Christian McCaffrey $8,600 – Dion Lewis $5,900***

WR – Mike Evans – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – $7,400
Since I am going to be stacking up some Giants, the one guy I have interest in running it back on the other side of the ball with is Bucs top WR threat Mike Evans. The game total on this one at MetLife Stadium is a hefty 52.5, so some exposure to both teams might be a great idea.
Evans has been quiet in the last two games, despite the return of Ryan Fitzpatrick to the helm. The thought was that these two are great together, and I would still argue for that fact. The match-up’s were tough the last two weeks against the Redskins and Panthers, and I think Evans will be targeted often in this one, as the Bucs fight to stay in the game on the road. They have no running game at the moment, and with this huge game total, points are coming from somewhere.
WR – Corey Davis – Tennessee Titans – $6,200
Speaking of huge game totals, anyone else feel like this one is a bit high? I get the Colts defense has been pretty bad, and their offense and Andrew Luck have been fantastic for a solid month now, but this Titans defense is among the best in the league. Still, 50.5 is how many points are expected in this one, so Davis figures to be one of the best value plays on the slate.
We are probably looking at 80% chalk here, but not sure you can fade it. When Mariota throws the ball, there is a really good chance it is going to Davis. He has had back-to-back 10-target games, and is coming off of a monster 7-125-1 stat line against the Patriots last week. With no Delanie Walker who is injured, Davis has emerged has the clear favorite in this passing attack.
WR – Demaryius Thomas – Houston Texans – $5,600
Speaking of chalk locks, with Davis priced so low above in a great match-up, I will now turn my focus to Houston’s newest wide-out Demaryius Thomas, who is also a sure fire bet to be chalk. This match-up is tough against the Redskins, but most of the attention will be on DeAndre Hopkins, which should open things up for Thomas.
After a quiet debut in which he caught three passes on three targets for 61 yards, the Texans spent the bye week getting Thomas more acclimated to the offense, and designing some plays for him. It was reported by RotoWire, that he will be more involved in the offense, and Washington is vulnerable to secondary receivers. I think the veteran still has plenty in the tank, and will end up being a great fit in this offense. It starts this weekend.
***Also Consider: Odell Beckham Jr. $8,500 – Kenny Golladay $6,400 – Devin Funchess $5,700***

TE – Evan Engram – New York Giants – $5,800
We got through all of those wide receivers, and I promised you a Giants stack. Well here we are at my nemesis the tight end position, and this week, I am all in on Engram. I think the chalk will gravitate towards Jack Doyle this week, as he and Eric Ebron have been playing great together the past few weeks, but for $400 more, I will take a shot on the guy facing the one of the worst teams in the league at defending the position.

Engram missed some time earlier in the season, and has been healthy for three weeks now. He has only found the end zone once, and has caught just 11 passes for 87 yards in that span, but this looks like the breakout game we have all been waiting for. After OBJ and Barkley, Engram figures to be the third option here, but the vulnerability of the Bucs defense to tight ends gives him a nice boost. I think he sees between 7-10 targets here, and at least a couple of those would figure to be in the red zone.

DEF – Tennessee Titans – $3,400
Well I found a gem last week in the Redskins defense, while the masses went towards the QB they were facing in Ryan Fitzpatrick. Much like the Skins stifled the FitzMagic, I think we will see a similar situation in Indianapolis this Sunday, as the Titans look to slow down the red-hot Andrew Luck. This game has a huge over/under at 50.5, but I am not worried about that. The Redskins were under 10% owned in all formats and that worked out just fine.
This Titans defense put on a show last week, as they allowed just 284 total yards to the mighty Patriots and Tom Brady. The Colts have been hot though, scoring an average of 36 PPG during a three game win streak. This is definitely a something has to give situation that most are siding with Luck on, but this Titans defense is legit, and I am looking for some solid value at the position to pay up for my running back trio.
