NFL FantasyDraft Week 11: Optimal NFL DFS Lineup
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NFL FantasyDraft Week 11 optimal lineup picks. Sorry this is getting out late this week. I was on a much-needed vacation with the family in Disney World all week!
This week the big fantasy game looks to be the Eagles at the Saints with the highest projected point total sitting at 56 after opening the week at 54 points. I want to get to some exposure to this game for sure as well as the Bucs/Giants and Cowboys/Falcons as well. Our optimal lineup had another good week hitting in every cash game we played and we are definitely going to try to keep that momentum going this week.
NFL FantasyDraft QB
My top QB play this week is going to be Carson Wentz ($12K)against the Saints who are allowing just over 300 passing yards per game over their last 3. Wentz will have a full complement of receivers this week which will get him over that 300 yard mark this week. Another factor that works in our favor is the lack of running game 87 rushing yards per game over the last three and is only attempting 22 rushing attempts over the same time frame.
Other options: Dak Prescott, Eli Manning, Cam Newton, Marcus Mariota
NFL FantasyDraft RB
This week we need find a new top RB since Todd Gurley and I find him the New York Football Giants rookie stud RB, Saquon Barkley ($16.7K). While he may have had a “down” week last week with only 14 fantasy points, 10 below his 24 FPPG average. Barkley is a stud and will almost certainly have a bounce back week against a poor (and I’m being nice) defense in Tampa Bay. Theo Riddick ($7.8K) is my second option at running back for the value he can provide this week. Riddick has not had a carry in 2 weeks, but has had 8 and 7 targets in those 2 games and also going over 10 FP in each game which is above his 9 FPPG avg on the season. With Golden Tate in Philadelphia (also a good option for fantasy as coach Pederson says he will get into more game action this week) and Marvin Jones is injured there is a good chance Riddick sees double-digit targets.
Other Options: Ezekiel Elliot, David Johnson, Adrian Peterson, Peyton Barber
NFL FantasyDraft WR
There are a lot of top options at wide out this week as well with there being so many depleted secondaries around the league right now. My top choice is an old reliable in Michael Thomas ($16.6K) who is averaging over 24 FFPG this season and could see another huge game against a Philly team allowing almost 310 passing yards against on the road this season. It seems that the Cowboys are focusing their passing game on Amari Cooper ($11.3K) the last two weeks and he should continue to see targets and another big game against an injury riddled secondary in the Falcons this week. Over his first two weeks as a Cowboy, Cooper has seen 8 and 10 targets and is averaging nearly 15 FPPG.
Other Options: Kenny Golladay, Mike Evans, Maurice Harris, Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, Corey Davis
NFL FantasyDraft TE
Zach Ertz ($13.9K) is the best option at tight end this week but he will be incredibly difficult to afford, so I decided to look down for some value this week at tight end. My favorite choice for tight end this week is Ricky Seals-Jones ($5.6K). RSJ has seen 23 targets go his way the last 4 games and has reeled in 14 of them for 144 yards.
Other Options: Evan Engram, James O’Shaughnessy
NFL FantasyDraft DST
Here are my top 3 options for DST this week (In order of preference):
Pittsburgh ($ 5.6K)
Arizona ($6K)
Baltimore ($6.3K)
