It’s all about building momentum for the Phoenix Suns, and they can do just that with a victory over the rejuvenated Oklahoma City Thunder.

Last season, when the Phoenix Suns loss, they were unable to bounce back. The 2018-19 edition of the Suns, while in some ways mirroring last season’s version, has proven that they can bounce back from adversity.

They’ll look to build on their new-found momentum tonight when the streaking Oklahoma City Thunder visits the Valley of the Sun.

After enduring a lengthy losing streak, the Suns finally broke through on the win column on Nov. 14, when the dealt the San Antonio Spurs a humbling 116-96 defeat. Forward T.J. Warren lead Phoenix with 27 points, and Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton combined for 30 points as the Suns practically ran away with the game in the second half.

With their resounding win over a Spurs team that has had its number over the past few years, Phoenix is a young team that now believes that it can string together a few more victories, while at the same time, proving to the rest of the NBA that it won’t be the doormat that it was last season.

Before the Suns embark on a road trip out East, Phoenix will tangle, once again, with the Thunder, who had an easy time dispatching the young squad in OKC.

Playing with Russell Westbrook, the Thunder have learned how to win without him.  They’ve won six of their last seven games, which included the rout of the Suns on Nov. 12. Their latest win was a 128-103 wrecking of the New York Knicks, with Paul George pacing the team with 35 points. He had 32 in their home win over Phoenix and is looking to do even more damage to the Suns in Phoenix.

Their game at the Suns will kickstart a three-game trip for OKC, which will also include stops in Sacramento and Golden State.
