4. Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

The Ohio State Buckeyes have, in truth, been playing a highly forgettable brand of football as of late. Since their upset loss to Purdue, they’ve not been playing well at all. They allowed Nebraska to play them dangerously close last week, and then were taken to the brink by Maryland on Saturday. However, their lack of success and struggles have not been due to the play of quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who’s been incredible.

In the overtime win against the Terrapins, Haskins was strong through the air as he went 28-of-38 for 405 yards and three touchdowns, though he did throw an ugly interception. However, what made his day truly fantastic was his best rushing performance of the season by far, going for 59 yards and three touchdowns. His strong showing solidifies his place in the top four of these rankings.

3. Gardner Minshew, QB, Washington State

Leading the now 10-1 Washington State Cougars, Gardner Minshew has had some big-time performances this season. He’s the leading passer in the country and has not gotten to that point quietly. While that may all be true, the mustached signal-caller undeniably had his loudest and most wildly productive game of his 2018 season on Saturday night against the Arizona Wildcats.

In a massive 69-28 win, Minshew went 43-for-55 for 473 yards and an absurd seven touchdowns while not throwing an interception on the day. He was unbelievable in the victory and earned the right to move up in a big way in these Heisman Trophy rankings. It may be hard for him to catch the top two, but Minshw is nipping at their heels without a shadow of a doubt.
