Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura

This obviously has the chance to be the match of the night as WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins faces off with WWE United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura for the first time ever. Nakamura hasn’t had much going lately so a high-profile match like this one could be really great for him, especially given the height of Seth Rollins’ popularity right now. These are two of the best in-ring workers in WWE today and an instant classic seems inevitable, even if the finish is likely to be a little screwy.

Prediction: After what I’m sure will be a great match, the last minute is going to upset a lot of people because there will be no clean winner. There will be a winner and I think that person will be Shinsuke Nakamura after Dean Ambrose comes down and inserts himself into the proceedings, which then leads to an Intercontinental Championship match at TLC next month.

RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair

For the longest time now, we’ve been hearing that Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair was going to be the first women’s match to be the main event at a WrestleMania. Well, we now don’t have to wait for that, do we? Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, Becky Lynch was injured on Monday Night RAW after taking a hard shot from Nia Jax and had to be pulled from this match at Survivor Series, a match that so many people thought would be the real main event of the show, including myself. Speaking of Becky Lynch, even with everything she had going on this week, she still took time out on Tuesday to speak with me (you can read that full interview here), which says so much about her. She will be back and she’ll be back stronger than ever and I now think that the main event of WrestleMania 35 will be Becky Lynch vs. Ronda Rousey.

As for this Rousey vs. Flair matchup, this is still going to be good. Ronda has been so much better than I ever thought she would be and Charlotte is still one of the top women in the women’s division. Sure, the fire isn’t there as there’s been no time to build given the events of this past week but that doesn’t mean both won’t have something to prove. It’s not what we wanted right now but this is a good back-up plan to have at your disposal.

Prediction: It’s certainly not time for Ronda Rousey to lose just yet and honestly, this story could work well. Charlotte takes the loss here and that brings her even more personal turmoil that began when she couldn’t get the job done against Becky Lynch. So she loses again and now has to fight her way back up to the level to which she’s accustomed. Perhaps this culminates with a win at the Royal Rumble, which then maybe makes that match at WrestleMania a Triple Threat. There’s so many good things that could come out of this.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar vs. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan

Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan is a match that many in the WWE Universe have wanted to see for a while. I can’t say that I’m overly in favor of this match right now as I was really looking forward to another Lesnar vs. Styles clash (see what I did there) but here we are. It will be very interesting to see how the crowd reacts to this one with Bryan now being a heel. I guess it will just be interesting to see that Bryan character anyway.

Prediction: I don’t see Brock Lesnar signing this new deal only to lose this quickly, especially when we know he won’t be around to get revenge if he does. So that’s not happening. I think Daniel Bryan will put up a good fight and may even be on the brink of victory before AJ Styles gets involved and costs him the match, which then leads to Styles getting his automatic rematch at TLC.

Which match are you most looking forward to at WWE Survivor Series? Will Monday Night RAW or SmackDown Live come out on top? Please feel free to join in the conversation in the comments section below.
