Welcome to this edition of NBA FanDuel DFS Targets from FantasyCPR.com. Here you will find players to target for tonight’s action, geared for cash games and tournament plays on FanDuel.

Welcome to the Monday edition of NBA FanDuel DFS Targets for NBA DFS. First, I will go over players to target at each position for tonight’s eight-game main slate, with a normal lock time of 7:00 PM ET.

I will give two targets at each of the guard and forward positions, and one center. Following the picks, will be the ever popular “sample lineup” we like to do here at FantasyCPR.  Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP.

Some of course will also technically qualify as both. As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in.

With NBA DFS, I can’t stress enough how important it is to not just plug-and-play these sample lineups. There is so much info that will drop over the course of the day for NBA, and you never truly know what to expect.

If you want to be a consistent winner for NBA, lock starts at 7PM ET on most week nights. Plan on being ready to tinker those lineups last second, accounting for all of that fabulous NBA news that nobody was expecting five minutes before, or even AFTER lock. It happens all of the time, so if you set your lineup now and forget it, it’s probably not going to work out for you in the long run.

Well, Happy Monday I guess… Hey at least it’s a short work week, and that food on Thursday… Mmmm. Speaking of Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving week FantasyCPR faithful! Nothing better than family, food, and football right? I plan to have a special edition of my NFL FanDuel Early Only Cash Game Targets for the three-game Turkey Day slate for you, so be on the lookout for that on Wednesday night.

NBA FanDuel DFS: What To Expect Tonight:

Looking forward to tonight’s NBA action, we have eight games on tap, and much like Saturday, the stars will be out in full force. We don’t have any game totals over 230 yet, but it’s early, and we have a few that are close. Right now, the top projected scoring game is in Atlanta, where the 3-13 Hawks will host the surging 10-5 Clippers. Atlanta looks pretty awful lately, but they do have John Collins returning which will help, and backup point guard Jeremy Lin continues to be an excellent source of value off of the bench.

We have two games with no totals yet, and there are three more in the 220 range as far as over/under’s go. This slate is really shaping up to be pretty solid, depending on what news drops today. We know Russell Westbrook will miss one more game, but the ankle injury is not the reason. Congrats to Westbrook on the birth of his Twins! This will keep things open for Dennis Schroder and Steven Adams, as the Thunder will clash with Kings in Sacramento.

There are two potential blowouts here, but only one that I think I will fade at this point. The fade looks to be in Detroit, where the Pistons welcome the 2-12 Cavs. I don’t think Cleveland will be able to keep this close, and it looks like a potential 4th quarter blowout rest spot for Blake Griffin and/or Andre Drummond.

The other projected mismatch, is in Philly, where the surging Sixers host the struggling Suns. The Suns young athletic talent could keep this game close despite being 12-point underdogs, and I think this game actually has a chance to be close for at least a bit. I absolutely love what Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid could do here even in three quarters however, so either way those two are heavily in play for me. This is my favorite game stack as well, as running it back with Isaiah Canaan and Devin Booker is also in play.

As always on a big slate, there are plenty of headlines and injury news to keep an eye on. So always remember to visit your lineups before lock, and make any necessary changes. I would love to ramble on about all of the match-up’s tonight because there are some good ones, but it is time to break it down. So without further ado, let’s get into it!

NBA FanDuel: Point Guard Targets:

Ben Simmons – Philadelphia 76ers – $9,400 – (GPP)

It was kind of a quiet stretch there for Simmons, as he went four games without eclipsing 40 FDP, but his all around game was on display at Charlotte on Saturday, as Simmons dropped a 23-11-9 stat line, and just missed the triple-double. That performance was good for 51.7 FDP, and his best game since November 9th, when they also faced the Hornets. $9,400 is a bit crazy, but this looks like a solid spot for Simmons here against the Suns. In a game where some will fade because of blowout risk, this looks like a solid GPP play.

Kyrie Irving – Boston Celtics – $8,400 – (Cash)

Point guard is kind of loaded at the top today, so if you are spending up, I think the slight discount on Irving compared to Simmons and Kemba Walker is the way to go for cash games. Yes Walker is heating up again, and I think he is a great play, but for $1,000 less, give me Kyrie. Irving is coming off of a pedestrian 20 point, 8 rebound game in which he only generated one assist in 30 minutes. The 36.1 FDP was nowhere near the 70.9 FDP he dropped on the Raptors on Friday night, when he amassed 43 points and dished out 11 assists. Kemba vs. Kyrie should be a good battle tonight, and I will likely have shares of both.

***Value Plays:  Darren Collison $5,100 – Isaiah Caanan $3,800***

NBA DFS
LOS ANGELES, CA – FEBRUARY 17: Devin Booker /

NBA FanDuel: Shooting Guard Targets:

Devin Booker – Phoenix Suns – $7,700 – (Cash)

Booker has encountered a rough shooting stretch over the last four games, as he has failed to reach 20 points in four straight. For a shooting guard expected to lead his team in scoring in every night, it is safe to say Booker is pretty cold right now. However, Booker has erupted for 12 assists in each, helping his bottom line and his team. Booker is due, and the Sixers just gave up a huge game to Kemba Walker, so I love this play in all formats tonight

Dennis Schroder – Oklahoma City Thunder – $7,500 – (GPP)

We already know Westbrook will miss at least one more game, so Schroder season is not quite over yet. Sure there is a possibility Schroder remains a fantasy asset, but his value will certainly take a hit after today, unless Westbrook misses more time. The Thunder will face the Kings in Sacramento, in what should be a really fast paced, high scoring affair. Schroder has been quietly efficient in the last three games, averaging 43.26 FDP per game. I don’t think a lot of people will be on this one with Booker just $200 more and much more upside, so this should be a solid GPP pivot.

***Value Plays: Monte Morris $4,800 – Markelle Fultz $3,800***

DraftKings
ATLANTA, GA – OCTOBER 29: Giannis Antetokounmpo #34 of the Milwaukee Bucks prepares to dunk against the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena on October 29, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. (Photo by Kevin C. Cox/Getty Images) /

NBA FanDuel: Small Forward Targets:

Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks – $11,500 – (Cash/GPP)

In a night with Anthony Davis on the slate who seems unfadeable right now, I like the Greek Alphabet much better tonight, as the Bucks will host the Nuggets at Fiserv Forum. In the November 11th match-up between these two teams, G just missed the triple-double, with a 22-9-8 stat line. That was good for 50.8 FDP, and pretty much what you can expect night in and night out from Antetokounmpo. He is averaging 52.8 FDP through 14 games, so a 50 FDP floor is kind of hard to ignore for cash games. I’ll save Davis for GPP today, give me Giannis in cash for the discount.

Juancho Hernangomez – Denver Nuggets – $5,500 – (Cash)

Juancho! Very fun to say. Also becoming very fun to play. It started out as a solid $4,000 value play a little over a week ago, now Hernangomez has played over 31 minutes in three straight, and suddenly a 20-10 guy almost overnight. In 31 min against Atlanta last Thursday, the fun began, as Juancho dropped 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds. He followed that with an even more impressive 20 point, 11 rebound effort at New Orleans on Saturday. All in all, 37.25 FDP over the last two games while averaging 33 minutes makes him a lock for cash games, despite the hefty salary bump.

***Value Plays: Nemanja Bjelica $4,700 – Wilson Chandler $3,600***

NBA FanDuel: Power Forward Targets:

Anthony Davis – New Orleans Pelicans – $12,800 – (GPP)

I know sometimes it might not be helpful to see the most expensive players here in this article, but that is why you need to read these paragraphs. If you skim these articles, they won’t look like much, but my goal is to explain what type of play they are, or if they are even in play. I cannot think of a better example than this.

AD is the GOAT, playing out of his mind and going over 60 FDP in four straight, yet I am quietly saying he may be a fade here, at least for cash games. Depending on what value opens up today, the savings on Antetokounmpo might help for a more balanced cash squad. The Pels will battle with the Spurs, and Davis put up just 49.1 FDP in their first meeting back on November 3rd. I think the Brow cools off a bit today, but I will still have to throw him in a GPP line because of who he is. That is why you read this, not skim it. Thank you so much to my actual readers!!

JaMychal Green – Memphis Grizzlies – $5,000 – (Cash)

Green is finally back on the court returning from a broken jaw. He was expected to play 24-27 minutes in his return against the Wolves on Sunday, but was eased back into action, playing just 21. He managed eight points and eight rebounds, but picked up two blocks and a steal, which was good for 27.1 FDP. Tonight, the Grizz will host the Mavericks, and if we get news that Green is a full go and not any minutes restriction, he could become a lock. Rookie Jaren Jackson doesn’t figure to lose his starting job as he has been solid, but Green should be able to do some damage with this second unit.

***Value Plays: Jerami Grant $5,400 – Trey Lyles $4,400***

DraftKings

NBA FanDuel: Center Targets:

Joel Embiid – Philadelphia 76ers – $11,500 – (Cash/GPP)

This just really feels like a do not fade Embiid type of night. We will need to keep an eye on the news because he is still officially a game-time decision with the swollen hand, but he played through it against the Hornets on Saturday, to post 33 points and grab 11 rebounds. This should be a good battle with rookie Deandre Ayton tonight, and again, this is my favorite game stack of the night. If I paid down at all here or Embiid sits this one, Rudy Gobert is also in a fantastic spot against the Pacers and would be my pivot at this point

***Value Plays: Mike Muscala $3,900***
