Braun Strowman, despite being advertised to face Baron Corbin at the TLC PPV next month, is reportedly suffering from a legit elbow injury.

Considering the WWE’s Raw brand no longer has a full-time world championship for the time being, it would’ve been an important time to showcase as much star power that the roster has to offer. Yet despite Raw star Braun Strowman being advertised to face Baron Corbin in a TLC match at the next PPV, it’s being reported by Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer that Strowman has suffered a legit elbow injury and will indeed be undergoing surgery for repair.

It seemed at first that WWE’s announcement of Strowman’s injury was all part of the entertainment storyline of the show. However, this doesn’t seem to be the case if the news Meltzer is reporting turns out to be true.

WWE released the following statement on its official website: “During tonight’s Six-Man Elimination Tag Team Match, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin brutally assaulted Braun Strowman and smashed The Monster Among Men’s right arm with the steel steps. WWE.com can confirm that Strowman sustained serious injuries in the attack, and is undergoing evaluation by WWE medical personnel to determine the extent of the damage.”

It’s also worth noting that while Strowman doesn’t apparently have a shattered elbow, according to Meltzer, it’s being said that the chances of his match with Corbin happening at TLC will depend on the severity of the surgery that’s taking place.

If Strowman is out of action for an extended time, it will be an absolute horrible time for Raw to be without one of the bigger stars on its roster. With Roman Reigns not wrestling and the Universal title not on Raw full-time for the time-being, WWE has found itself in somewhat of a crisis where it doesn’t have enough stars to generate interest among fans, which has played out in the negative reaction Raw has been getting over the past year.

With WWE setting records for low TV viewership, it would need to have some sort of backup plan to get more people to watch wrestling again. However, with Strowman out of action, things may not go well for Raw in the next couple of weeks.
