Washington was able to begin their roster destruction in the offseason by moving Marcin Gortat to the Clippers in exchange for Austin Rivers. This move has not helped fix things at all. Away you go, Austin!

The Pelicans could use some more shooting, so we’ll reunite them with their former lottery pick. Washington will get Solomon Hill in return, who is not very good anymore, along with Cheick Diallo and a second-rounder to even things out.

Hill used to be a reliable defender, decent ball-handler, and had some small stretches of good 3-point shooting. He fooled New Orleans into giving him a lot of money and believe it or not, it hasn’t worked out. Hill still has one year and $13 million left on his deal after this season, which is why Washington will get a couple extra assets as a thank you.
