It may be the final week of the 2018 college football regular season, but that doesn’t mean these bets aren’t still sure to come through in Week 13.

It’s undeniably bittersweet that we’ve arrived at the last week of the 2018 college football regular season. Sure, there are still some fantastic conference championship matchups coming next week, followed then by the Army-Navy game and then bowl season, which are all reasons to be excited. Yet, the final week of the regular season is a sad time as it means the year is horribly close to coming to its end.

At the same time, however, the final week of the college football regular season also means that we’re treated to the joy of rivalry matchups. From Michigan-Ohio State to the Iron Bowl to even a game like UCF vs. South Florida, there is tantalizing action happening throughout the country from Thursday all the way through Saturday night. So, even in a bittersweet time at the end of the year, the entertainment level reaches an all-time high.

While that may be so, the entertainment factor can also mean that it’s hard to know what to do when making your bets on these games. With a long season having weathered these teams down and with the emotion and stakes at play in a rivalry game, the phrase “all bets are off” would most likely apply. However, were’ not going to abide by that phrase.

Instead, we’re going to go after the odds in Week 13 of the 2018 college football season and find the bets that should be on. These are the best bets you can take to bank in the final week of the regular season.

5. Georgia Tech vs. Georgia (-17)

Since losing to the Duke Blue Devils at home on Oct. 13, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have quietly put together a nice little run to end the 2018 regular season. Though the ACC as a whole has been entirely mediocre outside of Clemson and Syracuse this season, the Jackets have gotten hot when it counts with four-straight wins over Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Miami and Virginia. They certainly have some momentum heading into a rivalry matchup with Georgia.

As for the fifth-ranked Bulldogs, they were clearly jolted awake by a loss (also on Oct. 13, as fate would have it) to the LSU Tigers that ruined a chance at a perfect season. Since then, they’ve been dominant with wins over Florida, Kentucky, Auburn and UMass, the first three of which were ranked opponents.

Despite the success of the Bulldogs this season, though, there is a chance that the Yellow Jackets triple-option offense could cause this defense some issues. They have been solid against the run for the most part, but the unit as a whole has been inconsistent, especially with inexperience at linebacker. Subsequently, Georgia Tech may break a few off.

Though that may be the case, I don’t see a way that the Jackets come close to slowing down the Georgia offense. A Yellow Jackets team that’s allowed 27.5 points per game playing in the down ACC doesn’t appear like they can do anything to slow down Jake Fromm, D’Andre Swift and the Bulldogs. And as such, this one is going to get away from the Yellow Jackets in Athens.
