3. Liverpool’s unbeaten streak ended at Watford

Liverpool are one of the three unbeaten sides in the league and if they continue in this manner then it’s hard to see them not challenging for the title. Manchester City look fantastic once again but the Citizens couldn’t beat Liverpool so Jurgen Klopp will know his side have a chance in this title race.

However, it’s imperative the Reds pick up all three points in matches against the likes of Watford, who they face this weekend. Watford have played good soccer this season and are deservedly sitting in seventh place in the league.

The Hornets hit a bit of a blip before the international break, losing to Newcastle and drawing with Southampton. The comforting thing for Watford manager Javi Gracia is that in both of those matches his side played well but just didn’t quite get the result they needed.

That means they will still be confident going into an incredibly difficult game against Liverpool. Watford ran Manchester United close at Vicarage Road and actually beat Tottenham earlier on in the season.

Gracia’s side won’t be easy to beat and Klopp will know this. Liverpool’s defensive record has been impressive this season but they’ve still not looked totally confident at the back. They were fortunate not to concede to Fulham last weekend and any goals they have lost have come on the road.

Watford will of course be weary of Liverpool’s ridiculously fast attacking line but they can exploit the spaces that are left by Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. Both of the full-backs have done a great job of improving their defensive work-rate but that’s where Liverpool are most vulnerable.

A 1-0 or 2-0 win for Liverpool seems like a likely result but Watford will upset the odds this weekend and pip the Reds with a 2-1 win.
