DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks November 23
We have a big week for DraftKings EuroLeague this week with two rounds, which means four days of games instead of two! I fully intended to get one up on Turkey Day here in the states, but my head cold spread to my eyes and I was one miserable soul last night after driving overnight to someplace where your tires freeze to the ground. Now that we’ve all had some Turkey and a couple of college football games, we are ready to attack Friday. My first day of just glasses – no contacts – since high school has my eyes cooperating more right now. Let’s SEE if I can help us cash like on Tuesday!

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!

Guards:
So, I faded Shved with the tougher matchup on Wednesday. That was not one of the better decisions that I’ve made. I always expect him to slow down, but it just may not happen this year. The problem wasn’t at the top of the guard pool. All of them had good games, including Wolters, the one I faded Shved for. Sergio Rodriguez was the only way you one-upped Shved at guard on Wednesday. With another solid matchup against Podgorica, it could happen again. However, I’m inclined to pay for Shved against Zalgiris, who has struggled against guards.
As expected, Matt Janning had a strong day with Jayson Granger out. Keep an eye on the status of Granger if you can. That news can sometimes be hard to come by in the states. If Granger is out again, I like Janning.
The only other great matchups for guards is that of Barcelona. Thomas Huertel is the way to go there. The struggling Kevin Pangos is going to play his way to the bench very soon.
Edwin Jackson and Nemanja Gordic remain strong plays against Khimki here. Gordic has the more stable numbers, but Jackson seems to have the better upside.
Curtis Jerrells was strong after Nemanja Nedovic suffered a setback. He was on fire with 15 points in 17 minutes, but now Nedovic is out again. Jerrells seems to be the value play that opens up from this injury.
Stefan Markovic has been a very strong Robin to Alexey Shved lately, and I really like him at just $6,100. Thomas Walkup didn’t start on Wednesday, but he still had a very strong game. I don’t like the matchup for Zalgiris, but Walkup could still be worth a look if you are worried about high ownership on Markovic.
For once, there isn’t a single guard play under $5,000 that I would trust. Even Nikos Pappas at $5,000 feels like too much of a reach. Find your value at F today.
Forwards:
Vladimir Micov was huge again, and Will Clyburn came up big in a tougher matchup. Unfortunately for Clyburn, he has another tough matchup today, so I am leaning towards Micov.
Tougher matchups are scaring me off of the rest of the upper tier in no small part because Earl Clark is back on track and he has a great matchup against CSKA today. Brandon Davies has another solid matchup, but I don’t know that he can be trusted right now. That’s two bad rounds in a row.

Despite a tougher matchup against Podgorica, Jordan Mickey had a monster game down low. He now has 61.5 DraftKings points over the last two rounds and a pretty good matchup against Zalgiris coming up.
Now that Jeff Brooks is starting to come around, it gives us another good middle tier option up front. He has a good matchup, but so does DeShaun Thomas. Both of them are worth a look if you are going with a balanced lineup build.
Coty Clarke did very well against the first Moscow team. Don’t be shocked if he does the same to the second. I’m also a big fan of Aaron White again here with Jankunas still out. Antanas Kavaliauskas had a huge game in the first contest that Jankunas missed. You may want to jump on that value for the last time at this low of a price.
Stephane Lasme‘s stock is heading in the right direction, but the huge game by Kavaliauskas is going to move nearly everyone off of Lasme. If you think that Kavaliauskas was a one hit wonder, jump on Lasme.
Joel Bolomboy played just 15 minutes in his season debut, but picked up 14 DraftKings points. If news comes out that his minutes are increasing and/or he is starting, jump on this one, even in the tough matchup.
