5. Matt Breida, San Francisco 49ers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

For the majority of the 2018 season, Matt Breida has been battling a hamstring injury that has either cost him snaps or limited his effectiveness. Breida has shown great toughness in battling through this injury, even excelling in some cases. However, the injury has prevented Breida from showcasing some of the explosiveness he displayed earlier in the year, and this has been a slight blow to an unlucky San Francisco 49ers offense.

The great news is that Breida had the bye week to heal up, and he’s coming off of a tremendous bounce-back performance against the New York Giants defense. Breida rewarded loyal fantasy football owners by rushing for 101 yards and a touchdown while hauling in three passes for 31 yards and another score against a dreadful Giants team.

In Week 12, Breida will take on a below-average Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that is allowing 14 rushing touchdowns on the year, which is tied for the worst in the NFL. Breida has just three touchdowns this season, with two of them coming in his 100-yard games. He’s a good bet to go over 100 and score again this week, as Tampa Bay’s defense is a ripe matchup for the healthy Breida, who surely won’t lose any carries to Alfred Morris – the only other healthy RB on the roster.
