The Toronto Maple Leafs will host the Boston Bruins on Monday, Nov. 26. Here’s everything you need to know about the matchup.

On Monday night, the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Boston Bruins in what promises to be another fight for the books between two of the NHL’s top rivals.

Few would trouble the notion that the upcoming matchup shall serve as a unique opportunity for Mike Babcock’s men to snatch a victory from the jaws of an injury-ridden roster. As Phil Stacey of The Boston Globe reports, the next month will be quite the challenge for the Bruins, who are set to be without “the player who was leading the team in scoring, its best shutdown blue liner, its top two penalty killers and the team’s two most respected players.”

Nonetheless, the Maple Leafs, too, are without some of the fundamental driving forces behind its talented roster. Both Auston Matthews and William Nylander — key components of the club’s top line — remain absent due to injury and contract stalemate, respectively. As such, expect the Buds to continue to play an intense two-way game, as the team’s secondary scoring forces shall be relied upon to clock in tough minutes against a battered and bruised Bruins organization.

But when all is said and done, the burden of pressure ultimately falls upon the shoulders of Bruce Cassidy’s men, who aim to remain at the height of competition in the Atlantic Division. Surely an uphill battle, expect the likes of Brad Marchand, David Pastrnak, Torey Krug, Jake DeBrusk and David Krejci to lead the charge, as the Bruins seek to usher forth another disappointment on the road.

Here’s everything you need to know about accessing the game.

The Bruins have often demonstrated a penchant for riding out the tide of injury flurries, but the momentum garnered from a 6-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers may have been exactly what the Maple Leafs needed prior to a matchup against a particularly fierce rival.

Prediction: Maple Leafs defeat Bruins by a score of 4-2
