High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,250
Giannis Antetokounmpo (at CHA – $11,600): Needs 51.5 fantasy points. It’s Giannis. It doesn’t matter the opponent. It’s Giannis. He had 59 fantasy points in 35 minutes against the Hornets on Oct. 17. Minutes could be a concern as this one has blowout potential, but even in limited minutes, he’s going to have a big game. The numbers will always be there for him. Diagnosis: Always reliable and always has a high ceiling. A blowout could happen, which is the only worry.
Kevin Durant (vs ORL – $10,900): Needs 48.4 fantasy points. With Curry out of the lineup, numbers are never an issue for Durant. He had 73.7 fantasy points against the Kings on Nov. 24. If Green is back in the lineup, his job becomes a little easier as he doesn’t have to be the primary playmaker, but it will cut into his numbers a bit. I’m also not sure how those two will play together since we haven’t seen it much since their publicized blowup. As for this game, Durant will deliver. Diagnosis: Reliable and a high ceiling with Curry out of the lineup.
DeMar DeRozan (at CHI – $8,600): Needs 38.1 fantasy points. DeRozan was up to 51 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 24. The scoring numbers are typically there for DeRozan. It’s just a matter of how many assists and rebounds he can find. The scoring numbers will definitely be there against the Bulls because it’s the Bulls. I suspect the other numbers will be there as well. Diagnosis: Maybe there’s a blowout. He’s the more cost-effective option over Durant and Giannis.
