Even with no more teams on bye, fantasy football owners should still be improving their roster by adding players off the waiver wire for the playoffs.

There is one game left before Week 12 comes to a close. That doesn’t mean fantasy football owners shouldn’t turn to the waiver wire for Week 13. There were plenty of breakout players last week that owners should add for the playoff push.

Bye weeks are over and fantasy owners have their teams at full strength. However, with injuries and a streak of bad performances, improvements can still be made. Week 13 is the last week of the regular season in most leagues. If you’re in a win-and-in situation, you can’t afford to stick with your current team. A change must be made.

The players listed will be available in over 60 percent of leagues to give the majority of owners the best chance to claim them.

LeGarrette Blount, DET

Blount got the start in Week 12 with Kerryon Johnson unavailable. He ran over the Chicago Bears for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. That was his best game since Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers.

More from FanSided

Blount’s value is dependent on Johnson’s status this week. Because of the short time between games, his ruling out for Week 12 was not a surprise. With extra time before their Week 13 game, he may be back.

If you are a Johnson owner, Blount is a must-add. If not, add him to prevent your opponents from adding him. He could have another good game if he starts.

Josh Reynolds, LAR

Reynolds is getting more playing time because of Cooper Kupp‘s injury. In Week 11, he caught six passes for 80 yards and a touchdown.

Reynolds and the Los Angeles Rams take on the Detroit Lions in Week 13. The Lions secondary has allowed 238.4 passing yards and 26 points per game this season. The Rams offense is one of the best in the league.

Reynolds is the Rams No. 3 receiver behind Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods. In an offense like the Rams, he has plenty of value.

Adam Humphries, TB

Humphries has back-to-back good games. His value improved with Jameis Winston under center. He has a touchdown in two straight games.

Humphries caught all six of his passes for 54 yards and a score. He tied Mike Evens for the team lead in receptions in the game. He’s topped 50 yards receiving in five straight games.

Humphries and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face division foe Carolina Panthers in Week 13. They gave up a total of 476 yards against the Seattle Seahawks. I’d rather have Humphries over DeSean Jackson.

Curtis Samuel, CAR

The Panthers pass catchers have been non-existent this season. Outside of DJ Moore, Greg Olsen and Christian McCaffrey, Cam Newton hasn’t found success targeting anyone else.

Samuel has scored in three of his last four games. He reached at least 11 fantasy points in those games as well. He doesn’t catch many passes, 13 receptions in that span, but makes the most of it with scores.

As a dart throw in deep leagues, you won’t be able to find many better options.

These four players have been productive in recent weeks. Based on the teams they play for, they should be able to continue their success. You start your studs in the fantasy football playoffs, but having viable replacements is always a good thing.
