DraftKings EuroLeague Basketball Picks November 29

We are back to the normal rotations for DraftKings EuroLeague with four games on Thursday and four on Friday. Thursday has great matchups at both guard and forward, but how do we pay for all of that goodness? Let’s take a look at the best ways to attack this.

More from DFS

The rotations can be frustrating sometimes as more players see the court than in your average NBA game. The games themselves are also shorter, playing four ten minute quarters as opposed to 12 minutes in the NBA. The court is smaller, the lane is bigger, and the three point line is closer, but the action is still what you would expect from world class basketball!

Guards:

Mike James has to be the favorite guard on the slate. James has not been under 29 DraftKings points since round 1 and he’s topped 40 four times. Zalgiris has given up the most fantasy points to guards so far this year, so expect a big one from James. With Nedovic still out, I’m a fan of Curtis Jerrells as a value pick too.

I’m going to pass on the CKSA guards in a tough matchup again and go with Nate Wolters as the alternate to James. It backfired last round, but if you took Sergio Rodriguez, you were screwed anyway. Wolters has a much better chance to hit value against Milan.

Facundo Campazzo was a terror with Sergio Llull out. If Llull misses again, Campazzo could easily be a substitute for any of the top options. Jaycee Carroll is a good value play again, but only if Llull is out or limited.

If Llull is back and you are still looking in this tier, Ray McCallum is probably the best option. McCallum has 78.75 DraftKings points over the last three rounds.

If Stefan Jovic it out again, Maodo Lo could be a great value pick. Lo had 36 DraftKings points last round with Jovic out. Petteri Koponen picked up some of the slack, but Lo was the difference maker.

Marius Grigonis seems to have eclipsed Thomas Walkup as the third guard behind Wolters and Milaknis. Actually, Grigonis has outdone Milaknis in the last two rounds as well.

With Clevin Hannah and Luke Nelson both out, there is a ton of value in the Gran Canaria backcourt. New signee Nikola Radicevic has 25.75 DraftKings points in the last two rounds, and is just $4,600. He is about the only other guard that Gran Canaria has been using. They have been going big with Hannah and Nelson out.

If you are still digging in the lower tier, Muhammad Baygul could be worth a look. The sharpshooter has 27.75 DraftKings points in just 25 minutes over the last two rounds.

Forwards:

Brandon Davies has destroyed inferior frontcourts all season. Milan certainly qualifies as that. Davies torched Khimki for 45.75 DraftKings points last week. He may not reach that level again, but 30’s are a real possibility.

Anthony Randolph is emerging as the go to guy up front for Real Madrid with Gustavo Ayon out. Rudy Fernandez and Walter Tavares both had big games last week as well. Ayon is questionable yet again with his balky back. If he sits, fire up Randolph and Fernandez. If he plays, I’m not a huge fan of either of them despite the great matchup. One of them will go off, but which one? My guess is Randolph, but Ayon will definitely pilfer some looks. I kind of like the flip of this, using Will Clyburn if Ayon is out.

Michael Eric has a dream matchup with a Gran Canaria squad that has allowed the most fantasy points to forwards so far this year. You can avoid all of the what ifs in front of here and just lock in Eric. He has three straight rounds of more than 22 DraftKings points.

Derrick Williams is playing so well that I may even consider him against a good Tel Aviv front. If you don’t want to go that route, DJ Strawberry has a nice matchup with Darussafaka. Game stacking those two frontcourts aren’t a bad idea as they are both in the bottom five of the league in allowing forward points. Just keep in mind that Strawberry will likely play mostly a guard slot in this game.

The improved Tel Aviv front has a lot to do with former LSU star Johnny O’Bryant. Angelo Caloiaro has played well too. They both could be worth a look against Munich. Tarik Black continues to be a strong play, but has very little upside. Alex Tyus is the model of consistency for the Tel Aviv front, so he makes a nice value play.

Alec Peters has been strong up front for CSKA, but the will have his hands full against Real Madrid. Stanton Kidd and Eulis Baez are far safer value picks.

Joel Bolomboy is still flying under the radar right now, but he has put up 29.75 DraftKings points in only 26 minutes in two rounds last week for CSKA. Bolomboy figures to be a big part of this frontcourt once he works he way into the offense after not signing until after round 7. I expect his role to get a slight increase again this week, which could make him a solid value pick.

There is a ton of forward value with both Gran Canaria essentially starting four forwards and Darussafaka playing the weak, though plentiful, Gran Canaria front. Mix and match the value to fill in around your stars.
