DraftKings NBA Picks November 27: King me!
We have a rather light Tuesday for the DraftKings NBA main contest tonight. Only five games grace the slate, but only the Pacers are on a back to back. The other nine teams should be pretty fresh.

Last night was another night with a monster cash line. The cash line was a ridiculous 325.75. I created a lineup just before lock pairing Harden and Durant with Gordon, Williams, and Capela. If I would have hit on my F value pick, I could have had a lot more than 354.5 points! My second published lineup cashed after I moved to some Cavs value. The other lineup had a strong 291.75, but still didn’t place.
The winning lineup lineup was up to 396.25. He built around Harden, Durant, Gordon, Arcidiacono, and Justin Holiday and got great value out of P.J. Tucker and Markieff.

DraftKings NBA Point Guards:
Best Bets:
Mike Conley ($7,700): The reason that I trust Conley more than Lowry is simple: consistency. Conley has not been under 30 DraftKings points since November 7th. Lowry has been under that mark four times since then. Truth be told, I’m not wild about either one tonight. I think we can do better than both, but for cash games, Conley may be the way to go.
Jamal Murray ($6,900): If it’s possible, the Lakers’ defense looks even worse than last year, and I have to think that losing Randle is a big part of that. Everyone playing the Lakers gets a little rankings boost from me, especially shooters. Murray is back on track after a rough early November with four straight games of at least 5x value. A fifth is a lock tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Trae Young ($6,600): Young torched Miami for 56 DraftKings points the first time around, and with the Miami backcourt beaten up, you want to think he can do it again, right? Well, Young only has 58 DraftKings points in the last three games combined. There will be enough people taking a chance on Young because the upside is still there. Chances are better that he falls well short of that mark this time around, but Young has rebounded to the point where he may hit value.
Lonzo Ball ($5,600): Ball is also pretty inconsistent, but we have seen Ball put together three solid outings in a row. That said, he has nowhere near the upside of Young, and is still pretty much only in consideration for cash games. However, with the lack of acceptable mid tier options, there is probably a place for Ball in GPP lineups. Don’t plan on him helping you take down a GPP though.
Dark Horses:
Reggie Jackson ($5,400): Despite two games of more than 36 DraftKings points, I still don’t really trust Reggie. I’m not sure what it would take to get that trust back. However, the Knicks are playing about ten point guards with no real rhyme or reason, so I have to think Jackson has decent upside here. However, this is one of the few positions that the Knicks do defend well, so Detroit may well let their frontcourt dominate this game. If you play Jackson, don’t expect miracles.
Emmanuel Mudiay ($4,500): Mudiay has racked up 76.25 DraftKings points over the last two games starting at the point. However, Mudiay has still only played 51 minutes combined in those games. The price is right to use Mudiay, but I have the feeling that this production could cease without any real notice.
Aaron Holiday ($3,600): Holiday is still flying a little bit under the radar. The Pacers are holding out Oladipo, so that opens value back up on Holiday, who has been the most consistent producer at guard with Oladipo out. Joseph is probably the one to take a run at for max production, but for this price, I really like what Holiday is putting out there.
My pick: Murray(PG), Mudiay(G); Murray(PG), Mudiay(G)
DraftKings NBA Shooting Guards:
Best Bets:
Devin Booker ($8,600): Booker has 49 or more DraftKings points in three of the last four games. Even if Oladipo plays tonight, I have my doubts that he is completely at 100%. My gut tells me that the Pacers are going to hold him out anyway. A depleted backcourt is never a good way to face Booker. He continues to contribute across most categories, and could end up as the highest scoring player of the night.
Josh Richardson ($7,400): Richardson’s production suffered a little on Dwyane Wade throwback night on Sunday, but not enough to consider not using him. Richardson ravaged the Hawks in the first meeting, putting up 46.25 DraftKings points in that one. I expect another strong performance from Richardson here.
Honorable Mention:
Tim Hardaway Jr. ($6,500): Hardaway continues to have up and down games, and with Mudiay and Vonleh both playing out of their minds right now, the pressure isn’t as much on Hardaway. It still hasn’t helped his shooting all that much, but it could turn at any moment. The big think we Hardaway is that he is so scoring dependent. He pretty much has to hit the high 20’s on points to have any chance at helping us. Against Detroit, I don’t really see that happening. The upside is still there, but Hardaway is more risky than most.
Gary Harris ($5,600): If Harris is on the court, I want him in there against the Lakers. His absence on Saturday was mostly precautionary, so he should be a go tonight. Any time you have a shooter like Harris against a below average defensive team for a reasonable price, we pretty much have to take notice.
Dark Horses:
Dwyane Wade ($5,300): If Dragic and/or Johnson is out again, Wade is going to be a chalk play. Honestly, even if the Heat are limited in the backcourt again, I may just avoid this whole situation. We all know that Wade has game left, but can he drop 50 DraftKings points in back to back games? Better yet, will Miami even let him since they likely wont need him against the Hawks? That’s a lot of uncertainty for this price.
Reggie Bullock ($4,100): Bullock is a decent punt play just because of the volume of minutes he plays. Bullock has played at least 30 minutes in five of the last six games, going over 5x value in four of the last six. There isn’t a lot of upside here since the Detroit offense goes through the frontcourt, but you can’t spend that much time on the court and come up completely empty. Bullock is usually going to produce enough to help us out.
My pick: Booker(SG); Harris(SG)
DraftKings NBA Small Forwards:
Best Bets:
LeBron James ($10,900): You know that LeBron is going to be highly owned just because of the absence of stars on this slate. Does that mean we should use him? Based on that alone, no. However, the King abused Denver to the tune of 68.25 DraftKings points in just 34 minutes in the first meeting. That’s about two fantasy points per minute! Nothing to worry about with using the highest priced player on this slate. King me!
Kawhi Leonard ($9,400): I’m not a huge fan of the matchup against Memphis, but we can’t ignore what Leonard has done lately. He has at least 5x value in four of the last five games. In the game that he missed, he was handled by Orlando, just like LeBron was over the weekend. There is no shame in that. Kawhi is a decent option if fading LeBron. Or you can stuff him at PF and fill the rest of the roster with value in hopes that he and the King can carry your lineup.
Honorable Mention:
T.J. Warren ($6,100): Warren came crashing back to earth against Detroit. Of course, him only playing 15 minutes certainly didn’t help matters any. Is this an outlier, or is it a sign of things to come? The Suns are clearly a rebuilding team, and Warren wouldn’t really seem to have a place there. Warren is a risky play tonight, but it could pay off because of his sizeable upside.
Brandon Ingram ($5,800): Ingram is finally starting to get back in stride after missing a few weeks with injury. Ingram was a big part of the team before the injury, and is back to that now. he has at least 5x value in six of the last nine games and four of the last six. He’s a pretty good bet to keep that going because he is versatile enough to play all over the court.
Dark Horses:
Bojan Bogdanovic ($4,900): Bogdanovic now has a string of 12 games with 24 or more DraftKings points. He rarely gets out of the 20’s, but when he does, it’s on the right side of them. This makes Bognanovic a low risk proposition for GPP’s and a big time asset in cash games. His production doesn’t seem to be going anywhere.
Kyle Anderson ($4,800): Anderson is worth mentioning on a smaller slate because if you are like me, oftentimes we have right around $5,000 to spend on two spots after we’ve filled out the rest of our lineup to our liking. There’s a lot of pitfalls when fishing in that area. Anderson remains a constant between 20 and 30 DraftKings points, but he doesn’t have upside. I leave him for cash games, but on a slate this small, we can use him for sure points in a GPP as well.
Deandre Bembry ($4,000): Bembry has at least 35 DraftKings points in each of the last two games. Perhaps the most impressive part is that it was against two solid defensive clubs in Boston and Charlotte. Bembry put up 20 DraftKings points in the first meeting with Miami, but if he is going to play minutes in the upper 20’s again in this one, 6x value is well within reach with more possible.
My pick: James(SF), Bogdanovic(UTIL); Bogdanovic(SF)
DraftKings NBA Power Forwards:
Best Bets:
Blake Griffin ($9,300): Power forward is perhaps the sorest of the sore spots for the Knicks defense. Griffin hasn’t put up nearly as many big stat lines as Drummond has, but in this situation, Blake should at least be able to hit value. Up until the Phoenix game, Griffin had four straight games of 5x value or more. He should get back on track tonight.
Domantas Sabonis ($6,700): Sabonis has topped 40 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. He has also gone over 30 in nine of the last 11. There seems to be little risk involved with using Sabonis right now. He is much less volatile than Turner, and the upside is just as high if not higher.
Honorable Mention:
Pascal Siakam ($6,000): It’s a bit premature to call Siakam matchup-proof, but he has been so remarkably consistent that I can’t fully recommend leaving him for someone else. Memphis provides a tougher matchup with the way Jackson is playing, so I’m inclined to leave Siakam for cash games. Especially when you consider the upside of the guys priced near him.
Jaren Jackson ($5,800): Jackson continues to dominate, and has effectively pushed Green to a backup role. Sunday was Jackson’s sixth game of over 35 DraftKings points in his last ten games. Yes, he is still this cheap. Toronto wont be an easy matchup, but it’s hard to pass on Action Jackson right now.
Dark Horses:
Juancho Hernangomez ($4,800): Juancho still has a starting gig until Will Barton comes back, but his three duds in a row chased many, including myself, off of him. It may be time to hop back on. Hernangomez had a solid game against the Thunder. Now he gets the Lakers. The Lakers are better against forwards than other positions, but at this price, not much is needed to hit value. Juancho could come through for us here.
Trey Lyles ($3,800): Lyles is starting to pick up a few more minutes lately and is doing well with them. Lyles has 49 DraftKings points in just 38 minutes over the last two games. There is always risk here with Lyles since the minutes are so low, but more often than not, the production is there.
My pick: Jackson(PF), Lyles(F); Sabonis(PF)
DraftKings NBA Center
Best Bets:
Andre Drummond ($9,600): Drummond continues to put up massive rebounding numbers and great defensive numbers so his scoring output really doesn’t matter (it’s been good too). The arrival of Griffin has actually made Drummond a better player, and though Griffin’s fantasy value fluctuates a lot, Drummond is a consistent force in the middle. He has at least 48 DraftKings points in seven of the last nine games.
Marc Gasol ($8,900): Gasol has been on a tear lately. It’s amazing how much better players play when they have something to play for, yeah? Gasol has eclipsed 50 DraftKings points in four of the last five outings. He could have some problems against Toronto, but Gasol contributes across the board, so the chances of him missing 5x value are pretty slim.
Nikola Jokic ($8,800): Jokic put up a strong 45.25 DraftKings points in the first meeting with the Lakers this year. Now the bad news: Jokic has only hit 5x value at this price twice in the last ten games. He is capable of some massive stat lines, but his inconsistency is still enough to drive you nuts. Still, this is the Lakers. I certainly wouldn’t fault anyone for taking a shot here.

Honorable Mention:
Enes Kanter ($6,800): Don’t you just love the Knicks? Kanter has played 74 minutes over the last two games and destroyed two good teams for 102.5 DraftKings points. Why the hell was he EVER on the bench. No disrespect to Robinson, but when you have a guy like Kanter, DON’T BENCH HIM. No wonder the Knicks are lottery bound (hint: its on purpose).
John Collins ($6,200): Atlanta has some exciting young pieces, and Collins is definitely one of them. The Hawks have upped his minutes to about 30 per game now. Collins responded with 45.25 DraftKings points against Charlotte. Collins is still pretty much in play only in the right matchup, but Miami certainly qualifies.
Dark Horses:
Noah Vonleh ($5,600): Memphis shut down Vonleh on Sunday, which is a big reason that I’m off of Ibaka today. Detroit, despite all of the size in the frontcourt, is not all that great at limiting fantasy output up there. For that reason, I still like Vonleh at this price playing over 30 minutes per game.
Bam Adebayo ($4,500): With Whiteside still firmly in the picture, Adebayo is likely going to fade as soon as he cools off, but with Whiteside playing some horrible basketball recently, Adebayo has racked up 86.5 DraftKings points in 62 minutes over the last two games. Miami has a lot of mouths to feed, especially in the frontcourt, but they have to keep feeding Bam until he cools off. That does make this a pretty risky pick though.
Richaun Holmes ($3,300): Holmes has 72 DraftKings points in just 48 minutes over his last three games. Can you imagine what his output would be if the Suns gave him more run? Holmes isn’t displacing Ayton anytime soon, but he has to be better than Ryan Anderson and Trevor Ariza at the four.
My pick: Adebayo(C); Gasol(C), Kanter(UTIL), Vonleh(F)
