Fantasy Football, Week 13: Best lineup with start/sit advice
By Dylan Broady
Jared Cook, Oakland Raiders
Stats: 609 receiving yards, 5 touchdowns
Jared Cook surprisingly ranks in the top five among tight ends in receiving yards and touchdowns heading into Week 13. On an offense that has struggled all season long, Cook has been the lone bright spot. Further proving you should always wait to draft a tight end.
There will always be guys like Cook who are great fill ins each and every week. His fantasy football floor is outstanding this season. His six targets and 55 receiving yards per game are both ranked in the top 10 this season.
Cook should be in your lineup this week as he and the Raiders will square off against the Chiefs and their 32nd-ranked pass defense in Week 13. At home in the black hole, Cook should find himself in a great matchup against a defense giving up 414 yards per game. Kansas City’s pass defense doesn’t get much better as they have allowed 297 yards per game to opposing quarterbacks.
Cook has a great opportunity to keep up his high fantasy floor and great streaming services for fantasy owners in Week 13, looking to either clinch a playoff berth or build upon their overall records. Cook will help you do just that in this AFC West showdown. The Raiders entire offense will look to capitalize on their division rivals.
Look for Cook and quarterback Derek Carr to try and get off to a hot start in front of their home crowd Sunday afternoon. Kansas City boasts arguably the best offense in the league but their defense has been nothing to write home about. Cook finds himself in an opportunity to make his case for one of the best tight ends in 2018.
He can improve on his numbers and help his struggling team win a big game against a team that is already looking ahead to the postseason. Maybe Cook and the Raiders can catch the Chiefs sleeping and steal a big win this weekend.
Prediction: 85 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns
