Fantasy Football: Five Things To Watch For
By Shaun Evans
Hey guys! We’re almost into the playoffs as we’re about to kick off Week 13. With a 13 Fantasy Football game slate this coming Sunday, lets find out what we need to watch for. So lets dive in!
Fantasy Football: Five Things To Watch For
Russell Wilson’s Continuous Consistency
Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks get to host the San Francisco 49ers, their once “division rival”. The Seahawks are just floating above .500 while the 49ers are fighting to get the first round draft pick. Wilson has been playing pretty consistent with only one game without multiple touchdowns which was a game where he didn’t throw for any and hasn’t thrown for an interception for the past three games. He should easily be able to continue this level of play against the 49ers. The 49ers rank 17th in pass defense, allowing 247 yards and rank 10th in rush defense, allowing 107 yards per game. The 49ers have played horribly all season long and usually do in Seattle, giving Russell a nice opportunity this week for your Fantasy Football squad.
Will Aaron Jones Be Used Correctly?
The Green Bay Packers need a coaching change as we have seen Aaron Rodgers upset this year, Aaron Jones not getting the correct usage, and Devante Adams with missed opportunities in certain games. Aaron Jones gets to face an Arizona Cardinals defense that ranks 30th against the run, allowing 144 yards per game. Jones carries have been up and down where he is averaging 11 carries per game. He has six rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown on the season, with a total of five of them coming in the past three weeks. Jones is averaging 67 yards per game on the season and if the Packers can figure out their offense, he could see more.

Is Adam Thielen Back on Track?
While kicking off the season with a hot start, Thielen had 8 straight games of a hundred receiving yards but then cooled down for two games. But this past Sunday, Thielen looked like he returned to his dominant form. With 8 catches off of 9 targets, he went for 125 yards and one touchdown. Thielen gets to face the New England Patriots who rank 25th in pass defense, allowing 270 yards per game and they allow around 65 yards off of 7 receptions to the number one receivers. While that number isn’t that impressive or intriguing, Thielen has the luxury of Stefon Diggs and Kyle Rudolph to help take the focus off of him. Can Thielen get his hundred yard receiving per game streak back? Most likely and it shouldn’t be that difficult.
Back To Back Pure Dominance For Christian McCaffrey?
Christian McCaffrey went off for an amazing game against the Seattle Seahawks with 125 rushing yards, 112 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns. Now he gets to go up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who rank 27th against the pass, allowing 274 yards and 18th against the rush, allowing 116 yards. The Buccaneers easily get exploited, except against the San Francisco 49ers, and will most likely get exploited this weekend against the Carolina Panthers. McCaffrey is averaging 70 yards on the ground and 55 yards through the air on the season, with a total of 10 touchdowns, split between the ground and air. McCaffrey may not break the 52 fantasy points like he did on Sunday but expect another dominant performance from him.
Eric Ebron, The Only Starter
The Indianapolis Colts announced that Jack Doyle, the starting tight end, would miss the rest of the season with a kidney injury which makes Eric Ebron’s stock skyrocket. Ebron has only had three performances under ten fantasy points this season while maintaining to be one of Andrew Luck‘s favorite targets. He also has 12 touchdowns with only three of those weeks with no visits to the end-zone. Jacksonville does have one of the better pass defenses as they rank third in that category, this will be a huge test for Eric Ebron and the Indianapolis Colts.
