PSV Eindhoven face Barcelona at Philips Stadion on Wednesday, Nov. 28. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
The Champions League resumes on Wednesday with PSV Eindhoven hosting Barcelona at Philips Stadion. The reigning Dutch champions are last in the group with one point. While PSV cannot advance in the Champions League, they can qualify for the Europa League. Barcelona can win the group with a win and if Inter Milan drops points.
PSV are off to a perfect start in the Eredivisie and are gaining consideration as one of the great Eredivisie teams in history. Over the first 13 games, PSV has scored 46 goals and have only conceded five goals. In the Champions League, PSV have lost three of four games, picking up a point against Tottenham. While PSV cannot advance in the Champions League, Mark van Bommel’s team can qualify for the Europa League if they finish third in the group. Luuk de Jong and Hirving Lozano will play a key role for PSV over the next two games. The two players have combined for 28 goals in all competitions this season.
Barcelona are second in La Liga following their 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday. The draw allowed Sevilla to pass Barcelona for first in La Liga. In addition to falling out of first place, Barcelona lost Luis Suarez to a knee injury and he will not play against PSV. With Suarez out, Ousame Dembele will likely move into the starting XI. Dembele scored Barcelona’s lone goal against Atletico, his seventh goal in all competitions. The 21-year-old winger is extremely talented but he has had a rocky relationship with the club.
