Fantasy Football, Week 13: High value plays for DraftKings
By Dylan Broady
Welcome back to High Value plays for DraftKings. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and Week 12 on DraftKings. Let’s look ahead to Week 13.
We had a pretty good Week 12 here at high-value plays. Our featured quarterback was Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings. He put on an absolute clinic against the Green Bay Packers defense on Sunday Night Football. Cousins threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns. We predicted him at 325 passing yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Colts running back Marlon Mack didn’t live up to our expectations in Week 12 but did have 96 total yards from scrimmage. We predicted him at 150 rushing yards, 25 receiving yards and two scores.
At wide receiver, JuJu Smith-Schuster exceeded our wildest dreams by catching 13 balls for 189 receiving yards and one touchdown. We predicted him at 100 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Unfortunately, Jack Doyle didn’t match our projection of 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns but did catch four balls for 16 yards and a touchdown in the big win against the Miami Dolphins.
Through it all we will take what we can get. We like our features from last week and almost hit a home run with all four. Let’s dive into Week 13 and see who comes at a great value by way of price and matchup this week on DraftKings.
Case Keenum, Denver Broncos, $5,200
Stats: 2,802 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, 32 rushing yards, 1 touchdown
Case Keenum has the best matchup this week amongst quarterbacks. He gets a very friendly tilt with the Cincinnati Bengals defense whom are ranked dead last in the league on defense. Keenum hasn’t been dominant in his first season as the Broncos signal caller, but he’s been good enough to lead them to some big wins.
Keenum is averaging 255 passing yards and one touchdown per game this season. In Week 13 Keenum could be a great value on DraftKings. He is capable of having big games as we saw in Minnesota last season. This matchup is just too good to pass up on, especially with his price tag.
The Bengals allow 440 total yards, 292 passing yards, 147 rushing yards and 31.5 points per game this season. Keenum and the Broncos can take advantage of this juicy matchup this Sunday. As they should because this is a winnable game, especially with Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton out for the year with a thumb injury.
Keenum has all the weapons he needs to help the Broncos make a much-needed playoff push in December. This weekend in Cincinnati is a great place to start a hot streak. They are coming off a huge win against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Mile High. They need to ride that momentum into another huge win and help their playoff hopes.
Prediction: 300 passing yards, 3 touchdowns
