NFL Week 13 picks against the spread

Kansas City Chiefs (-15) @ Oakland Raiders
What a terrible game to start our 4 p.m. coverage. Unfortunately, we are stuck watching the Kansas City Chiefs take on this hapless Oakland Raiders team. The Chiefs haven’t played since their classic against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football two weeks ago. They’ve had two weeks to think about that loss.
The Raiders aren’t even fun to watch. At least the Cardinals and 49ers have good running backs. The only reason to watch this team is to see the breakdown of Jon Gruden and Derek Carr, or if you have money on the game.
The Chiefs haven’t always blown out teams when they were supposed to, but after a festering feeling of loss for two weeks they probably want to bury this team. The Chiefs are going to score early and often. This Raiders team doesn’t have the personnel to keep up.

New York Jets @ Tennessee Titans (-8)
Are we missing something here about the Tennessee Titans? After beating the Patriots a few weeks ago, they’ve been dominated by two divisional opponents. Both games weren’t even close. Marcus Mariota has been in and out of the lineup, and the defense has been inconsistent at best. This is what you expect from a first-year coach. You will have incredible highs and terrible lows. On top of that, Malcolm Butler is in concussion protocol, although that might not be that big a loss.
The New York Jets have been pretty terrible as of late. Sam Darnold has missed the past three games, and Josh McCown looks like he has one foot into his retirement. Darnold is practicing on a limited basis after his foot injury, but we doubt he will be available for this game. Then there’s Todd Bowles. It’s almost like he’s waiting out until Black Monday hits.
The Titans have a lot to play for, and the Jets literally have nothing on the line. This should be an easy Titans pick, right? Well, the Titans have had the season on the line the past two weeks, and they could have been in the driver’s seat. They don’t seem like the team that steps up in a major way. I see the Titans winning this, but not by more than a touchdown.
