Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Thursday night November 29th! Tonight we have a nice sized 8 game slate to delve into. We have a huge matchup featuring the top two teams in the Atlantic division between Buffalo and Tampa. There are also some lopsided games with Winnipeg hosting Chicago and Nashville hosting Arizona. Let’s just get right into today !!
NHL DFS Goalies
Tonight my top NHL DFS goalie is Connor Hellebuyck ($8.4K) in a very winnable game with the Blackhawks. Hellebuyck hasn’t been that great of late which could keep his ownership down for game log watchers. Winnipeg is one the top team in the leagues and should have no problem winning this one. On the season Hellebuyck is 9-7-1 with a 2.98 GAA and .907 SV%.
If you are looking to pay down a little Mikko Koskinen ($7.9K) is the top option in the under $8k group. Koskinen has seemingly stolen the starting goalie spot from Cam Talbot. Koskinen has been much better than Talbot sporting a 2.29 GAA and a .923 SV%.
Pekka Rinne ($8.5K) also has a seemingly easy matchup with the Coyotes tonight as well and as the highest priced goalie. Rinne is having another Vezina like season with a 10-3-1 record and an impeccable 1.77 GAA to go along with a .938 SV%.
Some GPP options would be Jonathan Quick ($7.2K) vs Edmonton, Thomas Greiss ($7.3K) vs Boston, and Henrik Lundqvist ($7.6K)
NHL DFS Top Individual Players
High Tier:
Mark Scheifele ($7.6K) – Over the Jets last 5 games Scheifele has 3 goals and 3 assists and is averaging 5 FPPG while centering the Jets top line and top PP unit.
Cam Atkinson ($7.2K) – Cam Atkinson is having the breakout season everyone around the league expected a few years ago. During his amazing 8 game point streak Atkinson has tallied 9 goals and 5 assists and has scored 4 FP or higher in every game.
Roman Josi ($6.7K) – Josi has recently caught fire averaging an assist per game during the Predator last 7 games while also playing over 24 minutes per game. Aside from playing on the Predators top defensive pair he also captains the second PP unit.
Mid Tier:
Max Pacioretty ($5.9K)- Vegas is playing their best hockey of the year and so is Pacioretty. Over his last 6 games Pacioretty has 6 goals and 3 assists and is seeing over 15 minutes TOI in this 6 game stretch.
Matt Dumba ($5.7K) – Matt Dumba has emerged as the Wild’s top defenseman this season with 18 points in 24 games this season. Dumba is currently on a 7 game point streak during which he has scored 5 goals and 5 assists.
Kevin Hayes ($5.5K) – Hayes centers the Rangers top line with Chris Kreider and Filip Chytil on the wings as well as the teams 2nd PP unit. Hayes has 1 goal and 3 assists during the Rangers last 4 games.
Value Tier:
Brandon Saad ($4.4K) – Saad has seen a resurgence under new coach Jeremy Colliton with 3 goals and 3 assists in the last 6 games. Saad is also back on the first line with Jonathan Toews, and newly accquired Brendan Perlini.
Erik Gustafsson (4.1K) – I know I told you Helleubuyck is m top goalie, but if you are going in a different direction Gustafsson paired with Saad make for an inexpensive mini PP stack. Gustafsson has 3 goals in the last 4 games as well as 4 FPPG.
Brandon Tanev ($3.9) – Tanev has 3 goals in the Jets last 4 games while only playing 13 minutes per game. There is a downside to playing Tanev since he is only on the 3rd line and sees no PP time.
NHL DFS Line Stacks
Edmonton 1 – Leon Draisaitl – Connor McDavid – Alex Chiasson : This line is semi expensive becase of McDavid’s high price over $8K
Arizona 1 – Nick Schmaltz – Alex Galchenyuk – Clayton Keller: This line is still getting it’s chemistry together with the newly acquired Schmaltz.
Boston 1 – Brad Marchand – Colby Cave – David Pastrnak: Boston is trying out different centers while Patrice Bergeron is out injured
Buffalo 1/ Tampa 1 : This game features two great teams with some great players and some sketchy goaltending so this game makes for a good stack
Nashville 2 – Ryan Hartman – Calle Jarnkrok – Craig Smith: If you are looking for a team that is going to score in bunches tonight then this line can generate some points while providing some low owned value
New York Islanders 3 – Leo Komarov – Valterri Filppula – Tom Kuhnackl : More value here, Filppula is the best player and the best one-off option
