Recap Yesterday’s NBA DFS DraftKings Plays:

Joel Embiid, PHI ($11,200) – 59 DraftKings Points

Montrezl Harrell, LAC ($7,200) – 35.5 DraftKings Points

Markieff Morris, WAS ($5,100) – 36.75 DraftKings Points

Noah Vonleh, NYK ($5,700) – 15 DraftKings Points

Thankfully yesterday was a profitable NBA DFS DraftKings day for me, I fortunately got off Vonleh with all the late breaking news. Vonleh had 4 fouls in 18 minutes and unfortunately could just not get going. The other three recommended plays did well for us today, which led us to a profitable day. Few regrets I have on the slate today is when all the news broke I moved up to  a lot of Kemba Walker who struggled last night. In reality I should have moved up to Harden or Westbrook and moved down from Towns to more Harrell. Sometimes all you can ask is just profitability.

Let’s dive into today’s small 3-game slate! These are some of the plays that I am interested in playing tonight. Obviously late breaking news can change everything but these are a few of the plays that I am targeting upon first look.

November 29th: NBA DFS DraftKings Tournaments Plays

Darren Collison, IND ($4,700)

Collison has Los Angeles roots, growing up in the Los Angeles area, going to college in Los Angeles. This is practically a home game for Collison tonight and the Lakers have struggled defending opposing point guards. Victor Oladipo is going to miss this game and in the last two games, Collison has found 35-plus fantasy points in both games. Collison is simply way to cheap for the upside he offers at this price tag. Tonight is going to produce another ceiling game for us tonight in this elite matchup. Collison is a lock play in cash games and I am going to lock him into my tournament lineups as well.

Montrezl Harrell, LAC ($7,600)

The price keeps rising and the ownership percentage keeps dropping. Harrell at this price tag could be a dangerous play because we are creeping into a territory where we are going to need a ceiling game out of him in order to pay off this tag. However, this is a perfect matchup for Harrell today as the over/under is 235 and the Kings defense does not worry me at all. I have been targeting players at any position against the Kings all season and it has been a really profitable strategy for me. I am having no difficulty making lineups today with only three players on DraftKings over $9,000. This is going to be the game we want to get the most exposure to tonight as this is the highest total on the slate by a long shot. The Kings also are a really bad rebounding team, allowing the second-most rebounds to opponents so far this season.

Myles Turner, IND ($6,200)

Turner has been reliable for six straight games. Scoring over 25 DraftKings in each of the last six games, making him a really safe play against a team that struggles to defend big men. The Lakers allow the most field goal attempts within five feet of the basket and while Turner can travel outside of five feet he might not need to tonight and just take what the Lakers are giving him. Also the Lakers are a poor rebounding team, allowing the sixth most rebounds per game in the NBA so far this season. I love Turner today, and I don’t think he is going to be popular as people generally do not like playing Turner.

Lou Williams, LAC ($5,600)

The chalk player on the Clippers today is going to be Danilo Gallinari, after Gallinari is coming off his best game of the season dropping 55 DraftKings points in 33 minutes. Lou Williams I think will be the unique play and he is a player who can get going for upwards of 40-DraftKings points if he gets hot. This is the matchup that we want to target against the Kings. Lou Williams is always an interesting player because he typically closes games out for the Clippers but sometimes won’t play much in the first half. Williams scares me to play usually because the minutes are so low for him. However, Lou has an extremely high usage rate when he is in the game. Williams has a 32% usage rate which the most on the Clippers and he is a 1.10 Fantasy Point per minute player. I expect him to be in the 1.25 fantasy point per minute tonight against the Kings. I have Lou Williams hovering around 27 minutes tonight which would be good enough for 33.75 DraftKing Points. Wouldn’t play Lou in cash today, but I like him in tournaments tonight.

Last but not least – we have some exciting news as the folks at FantasyDraft have been kind enough to sponsor a Picks and Pivots Free Roll – well technically two! The first one filled so quickly that they were kind enough to create another one which will award THREE $25 Pick and Roll tickets to tomorrow’s NBA slate. Get in now!
