November 29th: NFL DFS DraftKings Thursday Night Football Showdown Slate
By Chris Brent
Welcome back readers of FantasyCPR! Tonight we have a Thursday Night Football showdown on DraftKins between the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys. The Saints are 7.5-point favorites in a game that has a 52 game total. These are my rankings for tonights single game showdown slate on DraftKings tonight.
Rankings Single-Game Slate (Factoring in Price & Raw Points)
1.) Mark Ingram, NO ($11,400) – Captain Eligible, will be my most used captain pick tonight. Saints are 7.5-point road favorites tonight, which makes the matchup the most ideal for Ingram tonight.
2.) Drew Brees, NO ($10,600) – Captain Eligible, will be the highest owned captain on the slate. Saints are road favorites, Brees at least 4 touchdown passes in three of his last four games. Saints are implied for 29.25 points on the road tonight. Brees is the head of the offense and he should be the most expensive player on the slate and he isn’t.
3.) Ezekiel Elliott, DAL ($11,200) – Captain Eligible, I will not have a bunch of him at the captain spot though. The Saints defense has been no joke and game flow doesn’t look good for him. However, if you believe that the Cowboys are going to stay in this game, Elliott will be at the center of the all the production.
4.) Dak Prescott, DAL ($9,000) – Dak is safe and the price-tag is cheap enough that I think he’s massively underrated today. Game flow is favoring Dak, and Dak has rushing upside. Saints defense has been dominant at home but now the Saints are in Dallas and Dak’s on national television tonight. I love Dak Prescott tonight.
5.) Alvin Kamara, NO ($11,800) – Most expensive player on the slate, not a bad play but I prefer the discount with Ingram. Will have exposure to both of the Saints running backs tonight in some lineups that I do not have Drew Brees in. I think it’s definitely an interesting strategy. Play the best one-two punch in the NFL and get make all the money.
6.) Tre’Quan Smith, NO ($6,800) – Maybe it’s bias, but Tre’Quan is the best play in the Saints passing game for me tonight. I have won a lot of money this year playing Tre’Quan Smith and I think he typically just shows up in big spots. Smith is coming back from an injury but I expect him back and to play well.
7.) Michael Thomas, NO (11,600) – Don’t overly love Michael Thomas tonight, but Thomas is absolutely elite. I will likely have the least amount of exposure to him than any other stud. Taking a stand on the Thomas fade can be scary but the Saints are good at spreading the ball around.
8.) Cole Beasley, DAL ($4,000) – Attack the middle of the field against the Saints. The Saints are going to be able to keep Cooper contained on the outside and Beasley should run free in the middle of the field.
9.) Will Lutz, NO ($3,600) – Lutz has been averaging over 11 points a game this season. Saints are projected for 29 points, field goals and extra points are going to be a way they get there.
10.) Amari Cooper, DAL ($8,200) – Cooper can get there, but chalk Amari never works for me. If he explodes, I lose tonight.
11.) Michael Gallup, DAL ($4,400) – People are going to play Cooper, smart people will look at Beasley tonight. Nobody will play Gallup. Get some Gallup shares.
12.) Brett Maher, DAL ($3,200) – Kickers are just as safe as they come.
13.) Saints Defense ($4,200) – Still in play tonight, although 4,200 is more than I want to pay for a defense tonight.
14.) Benjamin Watson, NO ($2,600) – Cheap exposure to the Saints passing game
15.) Dan Arnold, NO ($1,800) – Caught at least two passes in three straight games and caught a touchdown last week. Could be passing Watson.
Sample Lineup:
Captain: Mark Ingram NO
Flex: Alvin Kamara, NO
Flex: Dak Prescott, DAL
Flex: Drew Brees, NO
Flex: Cole Beasley, DAL
Flex: Brett Maher, DAL
Best of luck tonight!
