5. Kane inspires Tottenham to win over Arsenal

One of the biggest games in the Premier League takes place on Sunday as Arsenal host Tottenham in the north London derby. Both teams are in great form right now and it’s an incredibly hard match to call.

Arsenal haven’t lost since week two of the Premier League season while Tottenham have now won six matches in a row in all competitions. Spurs are chasing Liverpool and Manchester City for top spot while Arsenal are just trying to make sure of a top four place at the moment.

Unai Emery’s team keep finding a way to win whether they play well or not. Last weekend against Bournemouth they didn’t play great soccer but they managed to come away from the Vitality Stadium with all three points. Emery has certainly made the Gunners more gutsy than they’ve been in recent seasons.

Tottenham looked fantastic last weekend in their 3-1 win over Chelsea. They tore the Blues defense apart and put an end to their London rivals’ unbeaten record at the same time. If Spurs play anything like that this weekend then Arsenal could struggle to keep their unbeaten record.

There’s a lot to like about Tottenham right now. Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli are all in fine form but it also looks like Mauricio Pochettino has more reliable options now. Moussa Sissoko and Erik Lamela are both producing at a more consistent level whilst Harry Winks is commanding a more regular spot in the team with solid performances in the midfield.

Arsenal won last weekend because of their determination but they also had an edge in quality over Bournemouth. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was almost non-existent in that match but he popped up with the all important winning goal.

Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil are match winners that are finding a rhythm under Unai Emery — a rhythm that has helped to maintain this unbeaten streak. Both sides go into this match with these game changers in their side which is why this is such a tough one to call.

It’s hard not to see both sides scoring but Tottenham will edge this one. Spurs’ forwards will have too much for Arsenal’s defense and they will outscore the Gunners to win 3-2 at the Emirates.
