Welcome to this edition of NBA FanDuel DFS Targets from FantasyCPR.com. Here you will find players to target for tonight’s action, geared for cash games and tournament plays on FanDuel.

Welcome to the Friday edition of NBA FanDuel DFS Targets. In this almost daily article, I will go over players to target at each position for tonight’s massive 11-game main slate, starting at 7:00 ET. If you are finding this piece for the first time, here is a breakdown of what will happen here.

I will give two targets at each of the guard and forward positions, and one center. Following the picks, will be the ever popular “sample lineup” we like to do here at FantasyCPR.  Some plays will be geared toward cash games, and some for GPP. Some of course will also technically qualify as both. As we break each play down, I will be sure to specify which type of contests I am targeting that player in.

With NBA DFS, I can’t stress enough how important it is to not just plug-and-play these sample lineups. There is so much info that will drop over the course of the day for NBA, and you never truly know what to expect.

If you want to be a consistent winner for NBA, lock starts at 7PM ET on most week nights. Plan on being ready to tinker those lineups last second, accounting for all of that fabulous NBA news that nobody was expecting five minutes before, or even AFTER lock. It happens all of the time, so if you set your lineup now and forget it, it’s probably not going to work out for you in the long run.

NBA FanDuel 11/30/18: Point Guard Targets:

Russell Westbrook – Oklahoma City Thunder – $11,400 – (Cash/GPP)

With a full slate and a ton of options in the $9K range, it looks like paying up for Westbrook may be the correct move, instead of trying to nail one of five different guys who all look to be in great spots. John Wall will battle Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving will face his former Cleveland Cavs squad at home at TD Garden, and Dame Lillard will face the Nuggets at home, who struggle to defend point guards. So you can see, today looks like a good day to pay up for at least one PG today.

I am going to go all the way up to Westbrook for a couple of reason. First, it appears Russ has got has legs back, and he looks to be in full health again. In an expected blowout with the Cavs on Wednesday, Westbrook played 37 minutes, as his Thunder did in fact win big, by a score of 100-83. He was still able to put a monster stat line despite the low score, finishing with 23 points, 15 assists and 19 rebounds, good for two straight triple-doubles, and 70.1 FDP.

We have another blowout situation here, as the Thunder will host the Atlanta Hawks, and currently sit as 13-point favorites. Considering what Westbrook did against Cleveland in that mismatch, I have no fear of a reduced stat line due to the potential blowout tonight.

Ben Simmons – Philadelphia 76ers – $9,300 – (GPP)

In what is shaping up to be my favorite game stack of the night, the 15-8 Sixers will host the struggling 8-13 Wizards at Wells Fargo Center. With Philly struggling a bit on the defense end of the ball as of late and still winning games, this Vegas total sits at 235, and is currently the highest on the slate. Injury news does have us waiting for three more totals at this point, but the only one that could be close to this one is in Phoenix, where the Suns will host the Magic.

At the first glance of Simmons’ recent game log, first thing I notice is that he just had a nice streak of 40+ FDP games snapped. However, He was only needed on the court for 24 minutes in that one, as the Sixers routed the Knicks 117-91. With two teams here who have been struggling on the defensive end and giving up tons of points, there looks to be a plethora of fantasy goodness in this game.

BOSTON, MA – NOVEMBER 14: Zach LaVine #8 of the Chicago Bulls reacts during the first half against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden on November 14, 2018 in Boston, Massachusetts. (Photo by Tim Bradbury/Getty Images) /

NBA FanDuel 11/30/18: Shooting Guard Targets:

Zach LaVine – Chicago Bulls – $8,700 – (GPP)

The Bulls have to be one of the unluckiest teams in the NBA. Losers of four straight including a one-point loss to the Spurs and a 3-point loss to the Bucks, it is pretty impressive that this young team can stay in games. As they await the return of starters Kris Dunn and Lauri Markkanen from injury, LaVine continues to be the heart of this offense.

LaVine is averaging just under 40 FDP per game this season in 21 games played so far, and while you can expect right around 25 actual points every night, he has been grabbing 7-9, and handing out a few assists as well. The Bulls will take the short trip to Detroit to face the Pistons tonight, and with that interior defense of  Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin, I expect LaVine to be really active with the long range jump shot. For me, this looks like a solid GPP pivot down from James Harden, or up from DeMar DeRozan.

Devin Booker – Phoenix Suns – $8,200 – (Cash)

In cash games, if you pay up at all at shooting guard, you should probably go all the way up to Harden. But for my balanced cash game lineup readers, Booker looks like he should be good for another 40+ FDP night at the very least. Phoenix is a mess, with a 4-17 record at the moment, but Booker is always in a position to lead this team in scoring night in and night out.

The Suns host the Magic tonight who are at the tail end of a long road trip, in which they have lost four of their last five. It was close in Portland on Wednesday, but Orlando came up just short in a 115-112 loss. After digging a bit more, the pace in this one should be up a little, and this game could quietly be a nice secondary game stack as well.

You can pair Booker with rookie Center Deandre Ayton, as well as the potential value in point guard Elie Okobo, and run that back with guys like Terrence Ross and Nikola Vucevic, should Aaron Gordon miss another game with that bad back. Keep an eye on that Gordon news. There could be plenty of targets in this game!

***Value Plays: Wayne Ellington $5,600 – Terrence Ross $5,000***

NBA FanDuel 11/30/18: Small Forward Targets:

Paul George – Oklahoma City Thunder – $9,100 – (GPP)

I normally never target George, and with Westbrook back, it becomes even tougher to. However, with no Kevin Durant or Giannis Antetokounmpo in action despite the huge slate, we are left LeBron at the top, who just played 38 minutes last night. King James and the Lakers were able to hold off the Pacers 104-96, but those big minutes could lead to some tired legs tonight. With so many superstars in action, I know where I am NOT paying up today.

One pivot I do like here though is PG13. His numbers have taken a slight hit since Westbrook returned, but he still has managed to put up 40+ FDP in four of five games. I mentioned with Westy that this game could be a blowout that gets the starters sitting the fourth quarter, and I fear that result more for George here. However, if this game stays close, George could be huge, and he will likely hardly be owned.

Josh Richardson – Miami Heat – $7,900 – (Cash)

Another position I am likely spending way down at, but again for the balanced lineup seekers, Richardson looks to be of solid value at just under $8K. The Heat will get a huge boost in pace and offensive outlook here, as they will host the New Orleans Pelicans at American Airlines Arena in Miami, and this could bode well for some of the Heat value plays. It could also equal another solid outing for Richardson.

Another team riddled by injuries throughout the first quarter of the season, the Heat have been led by Richardson, by him matching his 20 PPG average with his solid defensive effort. He is averaging 34 FDP in 20 games, and is coming off of his best game of the season. Richardson scored 22 points in that game against Atlanta, and was able to grab five steals, which brought him to a 47.6 FDP total. My guess is here at home against New Orleans, we see more of the same tonight.

***Value Plays: Kelly Oubre Jr, $5,100 – Jonathan Isaac $4,900 – Danuel House $3,700***

NBA FanDuel 11/30/18: Power Forward Targets:

Blake Griffin – Detroit Pistons – $9,100 – (Cash)

One thing I love about Griffin is that the price is always just right. Andre Drummond has maybe been running a little hotter as of late, but Griffin’s production hasn’t dipped at all because of it. Blake will usually cede some rebounds to Drummond which may hurt is his bottom line, but he will look to shoot much more often than him. In any case, they are the one of the top big men duos in the league, and tonight they will host the depleted Chicago Bulls.

These teams met once already back in late October, and it was one of Griffin’s best games of the season. He posted 33 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, en route to a massive 57.9 FDP game. With the Bulls frontcourt still missing vital pieces like Lauri Markkanen and Bobby Portis, I expect Griffin to light it up once again.

With Anthony Davis facing Miami on the road and finally coming back down to Earth the last game, I love the savings and pivot to Griffin here.

Larry Nance Jr – Cleveland Cavaliers – $5,900 – (GPP)

Our other power forward target is another fantasy favorite of mine, but man he is much easier to roster when his price isn’t way up here. It is almost a shame that Nance has finally cracked the starting lineup, because I fear this is the cheapest we will be getting him for a while. Nance has started two straight games now, but the big surprise is the huge minutes.

Nance Jr. played 38 minutes at home against Minnesota on Monday, and had a solid 39.1 FDP outing. That was followed by just a 21 FDP game at Oklahoma City in 35 minutes. While he won’t go out and score even 20 actual points, Nance is solid on both ends of the floor, and generates fantasy points doing everything else. The match-up is tough tonight against Boston, and one more below-average game could get us another salary reduction. But, if he is starting and playing 35 minutes a night, he is in play against anyone at this price in my opinion.

***Value Plays: Marcus Morris $5,100 – JaMychal Green $4,600***

NBA FanDuel 11/30/18: Center Targets:

C – Joel Embiid – Philadelphia 76ers – $11,000 – (Cash/GPP)

Back to my favorite big man once again here, on a slate that is just loaded at the center position up near the top. I mentioned Drummond with Griffin and I do not mind pairing them two up. But we also have Marc Gasol and Nikola Vucevic in good spots, along with Rudy Gobert, and Deandre Ayton as well. When I looked at Embiid against Washington with no Dwight Howard however, my decision is made.

More from FanSided

In four of the last six games, Embiid has put up 30+ points and grabbed 10+ rebounds. On the season, he is now averaging 28 PPG with 13.3 RPG. That right there is right around 44 FDP, and when you add in the assists, blocks and steals, a solid 50+ FDP floor is what you are paying up for. Everything after that gets us further in the green.

***Also in Play: Rudy Gobert $8,500 – Deandre Ayton $7,200***
