College GameDay will emanate from outside Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game between Alabama and Georgia. A look at how to watch it online.

Saturday, Dec. 1, marks the latest edition of College GameDay. The show that goes on the road for college football, it will travel to Atlanta for the SEC Championship Game, rather than a regular-season matchup.

That means the Rece Davis-led crew, and Lee Corso’s weekly headgear selection, will make its way down south for this College Football Playoff-impacting game between two SEC powerhouses.

Alabama enters this game at No. 1 in the latest rankings. If they win, a spot in the top four will belong to them for yet another season. A loss, though, may impact this.

However, as seen in 2017, the College Football Playoff still included the Crimson Tide, despite them not even making the SEC Championship Game. There are different circumstances by the year, but would the committee actually remove them with a loss to one of the nation’s top teams?

Georgia enters this game at 11-1 and No. 4 in the rankings. A win likely inserts them into the playoff for the second consecutive year.

If so, it means another potential championship game between the Bulldogs and Alabama. It was an instant classic in January, so it’s possible these teams play each other three teams this season.

A defeat will remove Georgia from the mix. At two losses, they may fall below Ohio State and Oklahoma and claim one of the New Year’s Six Bowls instead.
