Crystal Palace face Burnley at Selhurst Park on Saturday, Dec. 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
After 13 games, Crystal Palace and Burnley are both barely above the relegation zone with nine points. On Saturday, Palace host the Clarets at Selhurst Park, with both clubs looking to pick up a valuable three points and move further from the bottom three.
Palace picked up their first ever points at Old Trafford last weekend when they held Manchester United to a scoreless draw. However, the draw continued Palace’s eight-game winless streak. The Eagles biggest problem this season has been their inability to score goals. In 13 games, Roy Hodgson’s team have scored only eight goals and have been held goalless in seven games. Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic have combined for five goals this season and will play large roles for Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Burnley were pegged for relegation last season but somehow finished seventh behind an incredible defense. This season, the Clarets have struggled in their only half, conceding 27 goals. To put that in perspective, Burnley allowed only 39 goals all of last season. The leaky defense has Burnley 17th in the table. Johann Berg Gudmundsson has been one of the best players for the Clarets this season. The Icelandic winger has two goals and four assists this season.
