High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Eric Gordon (vs CHI – $6,000): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. Paul was back in the lineup on Friday, but Gordon still managed 32.6 fantasy points. It was his best game off the bench this season and hopefully a sign that he’s turned his game around. He’ll have another great matchup in front of him on Saturday as the Bulls don’t play much, if any, defense. Gordon’s salary remains on the reasonable side. Diagnosis: Trust that he’s played himself into rhythm, even coming off the bench. Matchup is great.

Bogdan Bogdanovic (vs IND – $5,700): Needs 23.6 fantasy points. Bogdanovic had 38.8 fantasy points against the Clippers on Nov. 29. He’s been very reliable this season, hitting value in 80 percent of games. It’s the battle of the Bogdanovic brothers and Bogdan was the better player when the Kings were at home last season. He can do a bit of everything and should be able to do plenty against his brother and the Pacers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Marcus Smart (at MIN – $4,600): Needs 19 fantasy points. Smart was at 38.1 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Friday. Some games are just “Marcus Smart games” and this feels like one of those instances. The Timberwolves have looked better since the trade, but Smart can do a bit of everything and with the way Wiggins is struggling, Smart is going to be engaged and in his head all night. Diagnosis: Good salary, high ceiling and a game that has his name written all over it.
