Fiorentina vs. Juventus live stream: Watch Serie A online
By Warren Pegg
Fiorentina face Juventus at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday, Dec. 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Stefano Pioli’s Fiorentina side are currently mid-table in the tightly bunched Serie A standings, with just five points separating Parma in sixth from Genoa down in 14th. Although Fiorentina no longer have the kind of star players they fielded during the halcyon days of the 1990s, there are still some recognizable faces in their ranks. Kevin Mirallas and Marko Pjaca are on loan from Everton and Juventus respectively, and the Florence club’s forward line is usually led by Giovanni Simeone – son of Diego and now an Argentina international.
There are other players in the Fiorentina squad who might soon become well known, albeit by signing for richer clubs. Their young Serbian central defender Nikola Milenkovic has been repeatedly linked with the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea, as well as today’s opponents. Meanwhile, after having bought both Borja Valero and Matias Vecino from Fiorentina in recent seasons, Inter Milan are now reported to be after midfielder Marco Benassi. He received his first call-up to the Italian national squad in September and is Fiorentina’s top scorer this season with five goals.
While Napoli’s anticipated decline post-Maurizio Sarri hasn’t materialized, it’s still hard to envisage anyone other than Juventus lifting the Serie A trophy in May, which would be their eighth successive Italian title. Cristiano Ronaldo seems to have fitted in well and without disrupting team morale, which was a concern for some Juve fans going into the season, allowing them fans to dream about winning the Champions League for the first time since 1996.
