College GameDay will hit the road for the SEC Championship Game. Between Alabama and Georgia, who will Lee Corso use his latest headgear pick on?

On Saturday, Dec. 1, College GameDay will hit the road for the SEC Championship Game, as Alabama and Georgia battle for conference braggings rights, a trophy, and postseason stakes. That means the usual crew of Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, Maria Taylor and others will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the action.

It’s also championship day in general, with the ACC, Big 12, Big Ten and Pac-12 conference titles all on the line. However, Alabama vs. Georgia stands out for its meaning toward the College Football Playoff.

With that on the line, who will Corso choose with his latest headgear pick? This always closes GameDay and acts as the show’s most dramatic and comedic moment.

Alabama sits at No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings. With a win, they will likely remain atop the standings and stick in the top four for yet another season.

A loss, however, impacts their chances at another National Championship. Would dropping this game to the Bulldogs be enough to slide them to No. 5 or lower? Maybe so, as long as Oklahoma wins their conference championship on Saturday.

Georgia has much to play for, as well. They sit No. 4 in the rankings, but a loss guarantees they will be outside the mix, unlike the Crimson Tide.

Winning, of course, should solidify their spot in the top four, once again, to compete for the title. They lost to Alabama in January on a game-winning touchdown.

Corso will have another difficult decision to make to close College GameDay and open a chaotic day of college football. Does he choose Alabama or Georgia for the SEC Championship Game?
