The Fresno State Bulldogs will get their shot at a rematch against the Boise State Broncos in the Mountain West Conference championship game.
It’s only been a few weeks since the Fresno State Bulldogs lost to the Boise State Broncos in Albertsons Stadium. The first meeting between these two teams was thrilling and featured a strong comeback from the Broncos in the fourth quarter. Without 14 points in the final quarter from Boise State, Fresno State would have come out on top and the Bulldogs would be 11-1 this year.
The Bulldogs and the Broncos battled, with Boise State ultimately coming out on top, and now the two teams will get to face each other again. The Mountain West Conference championship game will feature two of the most entertaining teams in the country in an incredibly underrated matchup that is unfortunately not getting enough attention.
Both Fresno State and Boise State bring talented quarterbacks to the table as Marcus McMaryion and Brett Rypien have each thrown for over 3000 yards this season. Boise State’s Rypien has 3580 yards and 29 touchdowns against seven picks.
On the other side of this game, Fresno State’s McMaryion has completed 70.5 percent of his passes this year for 3283 yards and 24 touchdown while only throwing three picks. To go with his production through the air, McMaryion added seven more touchdowns and 213 yards on the ground. The two quarterbacks should provide plenty of exciting plays and big throws in this game.
