NHL DFS Man Advantage Saturday December 1st
By Matt Vecchio
Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Saturday night December 1st. I want to first apologize for my abbreviated article for Friday night, but tonight I am back with my full article for Saturday. Tonight we have a huge 10 game slate with some great fantasy options both in net and out. There are a couple of games that seem lopsided, but you can never guarantee anything in the NHL (see Arizona and their 3rd string goalie shutting out the Predators on Thursday night)
NHL DFS Goalies
My top NHL DFS goalie tonight is Marc-Andre Fleury ($7.6K) as he and the Golden Knights take on Edmonton. Flower has been on a roll of late winning 6 straight games, and has an 8-2 record over the last 10. He has a 2.29 GAA and .922 SV% over the last ten games as well while facing an average of nearly 30 shots per game. Edmonton has only scored 11 goals in their last 5 games. His low salary and prime matchup make him my favorite play of the night.
Another top option is a goalie I seem to right up every night, Pekka Rinne ($8.4K). Rinne is a top 2 goalie in the league and host the Blackhawks on Saturday night. Rinne has a 2.00 GAA and .925 SV% in his last 10 games (9 starts). Carey Price ($8K) takes on a Ranger team that has lost 3 of 4 and was shut out twice in those 4 games as well. My last top play goaltender is Tuukka Rask ($8.3K) who has seemingly turned his season around of late. Rask has won back to back starts stopping 59 of 62 shots in those two games and is averaging 7.4 FPPG.
GPP Options:
1 – Antti Raanta
2 – Louis Domingue
3- Jimmy Howard
NHL DFS Top Individual Plays
High Tier:
Patrik Laine ($8.1K) – Laine is on pace for somewhere around 69 goals this season, now I don’t think that happens but 60 isn’t out of the question. Laine might be one of the most underrated players in the league playing out in Winnipeg. Over his last 10 games Laine has 14 goals and 15 points and is averaging 7.2 points per game
Auston Matthews ($7.9K) – Matthews returned from injury with a vengeance on Wednesday with 2 goals and an assist against San Jose. He had 5 shots on goal as well and played over 14 minutes TOI earning 11 FP.
Cam Atkinson ($7.2K) – Welcome to my nightly Cam Atkinson write-up for the 2018-19 season. Atkinson is on a 9 game point streak and has scored at least one goal in 8 of the last 9 games as well. Over is 9 game point streak Atkinson has 10 goals and 5 assists. The Islanders have lost 2 straight and allowed 6 goals in those two games. Until Atkinson stops scoring, I will continue to play him
Mid Tier:
Oscar Klefbom ($5.8K) – Over his last 3 games Kelfbom has 2 goals and 3 assists and averaging over 9 FPPG during that stretch. Edmonton hasn’t been scoring many goals of late, but it seems like Klefbom has pretty much been in on all them.
Jonathan Huberdeau ($5.6K) – Huberdeau picked up 2 assist in his last game. That’s now three straight multi-point games for Huberdeau, giving him 5 goals and 24 points in 25 games this season
Cody Eakin ($4.5K) – Eakin has been a welcomed surprise offensively for the Knights this season with 10 goals in 24 games. Over his last 10 contests, Eakin has 6 goals and 4 assists while averaging 3.8 FPPG
Low Tier:
David Perron ($4.4K) – Perron seems to have fountain of youth recently scoring 3 goals and an assist in the Blue last two games. Perron averages 15 minutes TOI this season and is currently playing on the Blues 2nd line with Brayden Schenn and Robby Fabri.
Ryan Murray ($4.2K) – Murray has been playing extremely well of late and has seen his price on DK shoot up $600 over the last 4 games. Murray has 3 assists in the last 4 games and is averaging just over 4 FPPG.
Tyler Bertuzzi ($3.9K) – Bertuzzi has 7 points in his last 10 games and is playing on the Red Wings 3rd line but is also on the first PP unit. Bertuzzi is over 15 minutes per game on the season. Bertuzzi already has more goals (8) in 25 games than he had in 48 games last season which shows he has definitely improved as a sniper this season.
NHL DFS Top Line Stacks
Boston 1 – David Pastrnak – Colby Cave – Brad Marchand: The band is 2/3 back together.

When Patrice Bergeron is healthy they are one of the top lines in hockey, but they are intriguing with Cave in the middle who has 18 points in 15 AHL games this season
Pittsburgh 1/ Pittsburgh 2 : Both of the Penguins top 2 lines are in play against a Philly team that is down to their 3rd or 4th goalies coming into this game. Pittsburgh should put up a big total tonight.
Philadelphia 1 – Claude Giroux – Sean Couturier – Travis Konecny : Giroux and Couturier along with Wayne Simmonds kill the Penguins on a regular basis. This game could be the highest scoring on the night and I will have plenty of exposure to it.
NY Islanders 2 – Jordan Eberle – Brock Nelson – Anders Lee: This line has been the Isles best line of late and they will most likely be involved in the scoring on Saturday night as the Islanders return to the Nassau Coliseum on Saturday.
