Real Madrid face Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, Dec. 1. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Real Madrid are sixth in La Liga after 13 games, six points behind first-place Sevilla. On Saturday, Real play Valencia at the Santiago Bernabeu. Valencia are in the middle of the table with 17 points.
Real Madrid beat Roma 2-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday, winning the group. The victory was much-needed for manager Santiago Solari after Real were beaten 3-0 by Eibar in their most recent La Liga game. Real were significantly outplayed by Eibar and the final score could have been worse. Solari responded in Champions League by slightly changing the formation against Roma. Toni Kroos and Luka Modric were moved farther forward, while Marcos Llorente played a deeper role. Solari will likely continue to tinker with his squad as his tries to kickstart their season. Real need to start stringing together games if they are going to win the league title.
Valencia routinely finished inside of the top four for most of the previous decade. However, the club has recently dropped off and finished in the middle of the table in three of the previous five years. This season, Valencia are 11th in the table because they have eight draws in their first 13 games. The Bats have only conceded nine goals this season but they have not been able to score consistently. Valencia have found the back of the net only 11 times. Michy Batshuayi has had a disappointing loan stint in Spain after being so good at the end of last season with Borussia Dortmund. Batshuayi has scored only one goal this season. The Bats will also be without Rodrigo on Saturday. The Spanish striker suffered an injury in Tuesday’s Champions League loss against Juventus.
