College Football Bowl Season: New Year’s Day 2019 schedule

What better way to ring in the new year than watching college football bowl games on New Year’s Day? Here’s the New Year’s Day TV schedule.

The college football season is all over and now fans turn their attention to bowl season and the College Football Playoff. The season has already given fans many outstanding games and moments they’ll never forget. However, the best is yet to come, including one of the best college football days of the year.

That’s right,  New Year’s Day is less than a month away and is easily one of the greatest days of the college season with five bowl games to keep our attention from noon with the Outback Bowl until primetime with the Sugar Bowl.

The Citrus Bowl, Fiesta Bowl and Rose Bowl will also be played that day. It’ll come two days after Alabama and Oklahoma play in the Orange Bowl and Clemson and Notre Dame play in the Cotton Bowl as part of the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Whether you’re nursing a New Year’s Eve hangover or just want to sit on the couch for a 12-hour marathon of gridiron goodness, be sure to memorize the New Year’s Day TV schedule.

  • Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual, Pasadena, Calif. (5 p.m. ET, ESPN)
    Big Ten vs. Pac-12
    Ohio State vs. Washington
  • Allstate Sugar Bowl, New Orleans (8:45 p.m. ET, ESPN)
    SEC vs. Big 12
