DraftKings NBA Early Picks December 2: Build around the Brow

We have six games on Sunday, but the early slate only has two of the DraftKings NBA games. The even slate starts a little later. I’m not really sure why this is split, but we just have to go with it. None of these four teams played last night, but one is the Suns. Good luck with that one!

Due to the short slate, I am switching up the format a little. With only two games on the slate, we really don’t need a breakdown of six people per position in most cases. We do have two stars on this slate. Do we have the value to play more than one? Is it even worth our efforts to try? We will explore that along with a few other things for the afternoon slate.

DraftKings NBA Guard Picks:

Jrue Holiday and Kemba Walker are the two highest priced at the point, and they play each other. Kemba has the better matchup, but Holiday has been far more consistent. We saw Walker have some big games earlier in the season, so his upside is likely higher. Still, Holiday is the safest, but in all honesty, I’m not sure either one of them are worth the price.

The drop at point guard is very steep. Devin Booker is expected to play, but the Suns have been erratic at best with their rotations/playing time. Booker is safe. He will play if he is healthy.

Lonzo Ball is healthy, but he has not been playing well lately at all. We simply can’t trust him to hit value right now.

With Frank Jackson on the doubtful side of questionable, this should be another day to ride Tim  Frazier. I’m not a huge fan of the price tag on Elie Okobo, especially since he didn’t have a monster game with Booker out. I expect Okobo to be in the rotation, but we are likely a ways away from consistent production.

What do we do with the Charlotte guards? Tony Parker had a huge night on Saturday, but Malik Monk was a non factor again. The only one I really trust right now is Jeremy Lamb. He now has six straight games of more than 30 DraftKings points.

Jamal Crawford is putting up strong numbers. Strong enough to use as a value play in every type of lineup. Just realize that Crawford has no upside in GPP formats.

Forwards:

LeBron put up 50.75 DraftKings points in the first game against Phoenix, and I imagine that he will be a pretty popular pick again this afternoon. However, he only played 28 minutes in a comfortable win. I would much rather pay the extra money and concentrate on Anthony Davis. It should be a closer game and Davis is pretty much matchup proof. You can chase LeBron if want lower ownership, but the chances of it actually working in your favor are pretty low.

The price is right on Julius Randle and Nikola Mirotic, but this could be a tougher matchup with Charlotte up front. Marvin Williams and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are strong defensive players. The lack of offense hampers MKG, but Williams is one of my favorite values of the afternoon.

Kyle Kuzma is heating up with four straight games of more than 25 DraftKings points. This is a great matchup for him and Brandon Ingram.

I am really only interested in Josh Jackson if Warren is out again. The production is too sporadic otherwise.

With two M. Bridges out there on DraftKings, make sure you get Miles instead of Mikal. Miles is the one with upside right now.

RIchaun Holmes continues to play strong in about 20-24 minutes per game. He has no real upside, but if he continues hitting 7x value, do we really care that much about more upside?

Deandre Ayton destroyed the Lakers in the first meeting. his price is low enough because of his mostly inconsistent play, but this is the perfect place to target Ayton.

If you are playing both LeBron and A.D., you need value somewhere. Tyson Chandler against the team that waived him is a great spot considering Chandler went for 28.8 DraftKings points in the first meeting against them.
