This show couldn’t be more different than Game of Thrones; instead of being a fantasy drama, it’s a horror series set in outer space. The program stars Eoin Macken (recognizable from his starring role in NBC‘s The Night Shift) as Karl D’Branin, the leader of a group of scientists on an expedition that, obviously, doesn’t go according to plan.

The cast also includes David Ajala (Falling Water) and Gretchen Mol (Chance, Life on Mars). And given who wrote the original novella, TV fans can expect plenty of scares and a lot of violence. After all, no one is ever truly alone in space—certainly not on SyFy, which is developing a niche for more horror-themed programming.
