NBA Draftkings Point Guard
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander vs. New Orleans Pelicans
Salary: $5,500
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a first round pick worth looking at on almost every slate. SGA averages around 30 minutes per game and is making the most of it. He does have to compete with Lou Williams for the minutes but we know Williams isn’t as consistent. SGA, in his previous five games, has scored 19.5, 23, 33.8, 37.8, and 12.8 NBA Draftkings points. When looking at his salary also, he’s very affordable at $5,500. He gets to face a Pelicans defense that allows 26 points, 7 assist, and 6 rebounds to the point guard position. Also the Clippers and Pelicans play at similar paces with 107 per game, making this a solid match-up for both sides. SGA is averaging 10 points, 3 assist and 3 rebounds per game so he’s stat line doesn’t look promising but his return of value is very promising.
NBA Draftkings Shooting Guard
Klay Thompson vs. Atlanta Hawks
Salary $7,400
Facing a team with a high pace, Klay Thompson is in a good position. The Atlanta Hawks play at the highest pace with 109 possessions and the Golden State Warriors play at a pace with 104 possessions. Thompson is averaging 23 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assist per game currently. In his previous five games, he has scored 47.3, 38, 43.3, 32.8, and 36.5 fantasy points. While the return of Steph Curry will hurt his usage, the Warriors are still without Draymond Green, Thompson still has the opportunity between him, Curry, and Kevin Durant. The Atlanta Hawks allow 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assist to the shooting guard position, giving Klay Thompson a nice match-up.

NBA Draftkings Small Forward
Danilo Gallinari vs. New Orleans Pelicans
Salary: $6,600
Gallinari has always been a reliable DFS player and he’s once again in play tonight. Gallinari has been a very consistent player this year, averaging 32.5 fantasy points per game and in his last five games he has scored 38.3, 37, 55.5, 31, and 35.5 fantasy points. Hard to turn away from him even though Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Tobias Harris are on the slate. His salary is also very relief like being priced at $6,600. He faces the New Orleans Pelicans who allow 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assist per game. On the season, Gallinari is averaging 19 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assist which is almost on par with what the Pelicans allow for small forwards. Like covered in the point guard lock play, both teams play at a pace of 107 possessions per game, making this another intriguing lock play.
NBA Draftkings Power Forward
Markieff Morris vs. New York Knicks
Salary: $5,900
Last time I rostered Markieff Morris, he made me look bad so why not give him and the Washington Wizards another shot. He is in a nice spot facing the New York Knicks and has been pretty consistent lately besides one night. In his previous five games Morris has scored 33.25, 43.75, 36.75, 10.25, and 41.75 fantasy points. On the season, he is averaging 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assist and gets to face the Knicks who defend the Power Forward position on the worse side. The Knicks allow Power Forwards 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 assist per game, giving Morris a lot of upside. The Washington Wizards are picking up the pace of their play with 107 possessions per game while the Knicks are averaging around 104 possessions per game. The Wizards are still struggling with their identity as a whole but John Wall returned his “Big B” signs so expect the Wizards to pick it up and Morris to be apart of that uptick.
NBA Draftkings Center
Tristan Thompson vs. Brooklyn Nets
Salary: $6,500
Is Kevin Love really needed when he returns? Maybe not with the way that Tristan Thompson has been playing but that isn’t saying a lot when you’re on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Thompson is averaging a double double though with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and a pair of assist per game. He is also averaging 31 fantasy points per game with his last five games, he scored 53, 37.75, 10, 37, and 49.75 fantasy points. He has benefited the most this season with Lebron leaving for Los Angeles and the Kevin Love injury. The Brooklyn Nets have been getting dominated by Centers this season, giving up 27 points, 19 rebounds, and 4 assist to the Center position as a whole. Thompson does split the floor time with Larry Nance Jr. but Thompson is averaging 30 minutes still. This will be a slower paced game as the Cleveland Cavaliers average 100 possessions per game and the Nets only average 103 possessions but expect Thompson to still hit and exceed value.
