Bournemouth lost their fourth straight game on Saturday, losing 3-1 to Manchester City. Despite losing four straight games, the Cherries are still in the top half of the table. Eddie Howe’s team have struggled in their own half, allowing nine goals over their last four games. Only seven teams have allowed more goals than the 21 goals that Bournemouth have conceded this season. While the Cherries have struggled to defend, they have been very strong offensively. Bournemouth have scored 23 goals this season. Callum Wilson scored his seventh goal of the season against City and will likely lead the attack if Howe does not rotate his squad.
Huddersfield scored in the first minute against Brighton but could not overcome a 32nd-minute red card by Steve Mounie, losing 2-1. The loss ended a three-game unbeaten run for the Terriers. Huddersfield are the lowest scoring team in the Premier League, scoring only nine goals in their first 14 games. Aaron Mooy and Zanka are tied for the team lead with two goals apiece this season. Huddersfield have also allowed the third most goals this season. However, nine of the 27 goals that the Terriers have conceded came in the first two games of the season. In the last 12 games, Huddersfield have been better defensively, although not great, allowing only 18 goals.
