Despite the mistake, Pickford has played very well for Everton since joining the club last season from Sunderland. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison have both scored six goals this season and Everton will rely on them to score goals Wednesday against Newcastle.

Newcastle lost 3-0 to West Ham on Saturday as Rafa Benitez changed his starting XI, resting some players with two games in a four-day stretch. The loss ended a three-game winning streak for Newcastle. Newcastle’s biggest problem this season has been their inability to score goals. Only two teams have scored fewer goals than Newcastle, who have scored only 11 goals. No Newcastle player has scored more than two goals this season.
