FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 6, 2018
High Value C
Players costing $6,667 or under
Enes Kanter (at BOS – $7,100): Needs 31.7 fantasy points. Yeah, I’m cheating. But there’s no real value at the center position. Either grab a top guy or punt on the position. If you don’t know the drill with Kanter, here goes; if the minutes are there, the production is usually there. But the minutes have been all over the place this season and they are typically all over the place against the Knicks. He averaged 1.26 FPPM in his last six against the Knicks. If you’re confident that he can get 28-30 minutes, he’s an easy option. Diagnosis: A risk due to minutes, but a high ceiling given the salary.
Al Horford (vs NY – $6,900): Needs 30.8 fantasy points. Horford has been up-and-down in recent contests. He was down to 22.6 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Dec. 1. If the trend continues, he’ll be back up against the Knicks. The matchup is definitely good and he had 46.9 fantasy points against the Knicks on Nov. 21. But his game doesn’t always translate to DFS, which is an issue. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but great matchup and a high ceiling.
Deandre Ayton (at POR – $6,700): Needs 30 fantasy points. Ayton hasn’t hit 30 fantasy points since Nov. 27. And his minutes are going down as his defensive flaws are showing up. He’s shown a high ceiling this season, but he’s hit a rookie wall right now and an angry Blazers squad probably isn’t the time where he’s going to bounce back. Diagnosis: Big risk, but also a potentially big reward if he refinds his form. I just don’t see it happening.
