FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 6, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Josh Jackson (at POR – $5,500): Needs 22.8 fantasy points. Jackson was down to 19.3 fantasy points against the Kings. He’s typically been good with Booker out of the lineup and with Warren out as well, Jackson should have more opportunities. But he’s not a top option and seems to struggle with the extra attention. That’s concerning heading into Thursday’s game, especially with the matchup. Diagnosis: Good ceiling, but a bit cold. Minutes and chances will be there and he’s worth the risk if you play a lot of lineups.
Noah Vonleh (at BOS – $5,000): Needs 20.7 fantasy points. Vonleh typically gets the minutes to produce. Unless he doesn’t. Because Knicks rotations. But for some reason, this is his matchup. He had 41.5 fantasy points against the Celtics on Nov. 21 and averages 1.22 FPPM in his last three games against the Celtics. If the minutes are there, the production will be there. But maybe the minutes aren’t there, because Knicks rotations. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and should get the minutes due to his play against them this season.
Richaun Holmes (at POR – $5,100): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. Holmes has been solid in recent weeks and was at 22.5 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 4. He’s getting more minutes as the Suns are realizing that Ayton doesn’t offer much on defense. He gets easy buckets and provides plenty of rebounding. It’d be nicer if his salary were lower, but on a slow night, the higher salary is understandable. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. Maybe Ayton gets a quick hook and Holmes picks up more minutes.
