Here’s why Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray should win the Heisman Trophy.

The Heisman will be awarded on Saturday night and Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray should be the winner over Tua Tagovailoa and Dwayne Haskins.

The folks focused on gambling tend to agree with that assessment too. Murray is the betting favorite to win the 2018 Heisman according to OddsShark. And there’s plenty of good reason for that.

Through the entirety of the season, Murray has proven himself to be the best player in college football. He has been the driving force for one of the four best teams in the country and has helped guide Oklahoma back to the College Football Playoff. To get to this point, Murray has played impeccable football, surpassing the output of last year’s Heisman winner and his old teammate, Baker Mayfield.

He should be rewarded for all that he’s accomplished. For the second year in a row, a transfer quarterback playing for Oklahoma should be given the most prestigious award in college football.

This race is a close one. It’s been an exciting thing to follow and keep up with throughout the entire year. Tua Tagovailoa and Dwayne Haskins have both been remarkable and impressive this season as well. However, at the end of the day, Murray as done just a bit more than his competition for the Heisman Trophy.
