The newest spinoff of The Vampire Diaries, Legacies, continues on Thursday night with episode 6, “Mombie Dearest.” Here’s how to watch the episode online.
Just a couple of years ago, Lizzie and Josie were toddlers on The Vampire Diaries whose nanny was trying to trade them to the devil for her freedom. Thanks to a few time jumps, it is now time for the twins’ 16th birthday on Legacies.
Lizzie starts off super excited about her birthday. She may have lost the election, but she hooked up with Rafael. And more importantly, she thinks her mom, Caroline, will be coming home for her birthday.
That good mood comes to an abrupt end when Penelope breaks the news that Legacies fans already know: Caroline will not be coming back to Mystic Falls.
Instead, their biological mother they have never met will be there for their birthday. The monster of the week is a zombie version of Jo, wife of Alaric and biological mother of Lizzie and Josie. She was killed by her brother on her wedding day before the twins were born. They were magically transferred to Caroline’s vampire womb to make sure the Gemini coven survived.
So, this will be the first time that Lizzie and Josie will meet Jo. For Alaric, this is not the first time Jo has returned from the dead. It will be interesting to see how they handle this as a family.
Even with a zombie mother roaming the halls, there will still be time for a birthday party.
