Welcome to NFL FantasyDraft Week 14: Optimal NFL DFS Lineup! We have a full slate of 14 games this week that  gives us a lot of options to choose from for out optimal lineup. I will break down the games and give you my best plays at each position.

The Buccaneers are again involved in the highest total of the week as they host the Saints. New Orleans enters this game averaging 35 points per game, which is tied for the second most with the Rams. The Bucs haven’t been slacking in the points department either averaging 26.5 points per game and 28.7 over their last three. This game has NFL FantasyDraft shootout potential written all over it, as both defenses rank among the most generous in terms of fantasy points allowed. This is obviously going to be a game to target on the slate as well as the Falcons and the Packers.

NFL FantasyDraft Optimal Quarterback:

Drew Brees is the top option at QB this week against a Bucs defense that ranks 28th in passing yards allowed and is averaging 274.4 passing yards allowed per game this season. Brees had a down week last week against a stout Dallas D, but this is Tampa Bay and a prime opportunity for Brees to throw for his 12th game of 250 yards or more.

Other Options: Matt Ryan, Jameis Winston, Josh Allen, Philip Rivers

NFL FantasyDraft Optimal Running Backs:

This week my top option at the running back position is the Dallas Cowboy workhouse back Ezekiel Elliot.  Elliott has been the one constant of the Cowboys offense this season, but now he’s had at least 23 carries in three straight games and just under seven targets in that same span. He already tore up this Eagles defense for 39.7 fantasy points back in Week 10, rushing for 151 yards while adding 36 receiving yards and two TDs. My second option at RB this week is going to be one the chalkiest backs this week, Jaylen SamuelsWith James Connor on the shelf this week and LeVeon Bell refusing to play football anymore, we are left with Samuels and Stevan RidleyWhat makes this play even better is Samuels price is extremely low, $8,900, for a starting back against a terrible Oakland defense because the Connor news came down after prices came out.

Other Options: Justin Jackson, Phillip Lindsay, Aaron Jones, Tarik Cohen, Nick Chubb

NFL FantasyDraft Optimal Wide Receivers:

Devante Adams has been the one WR who has been here all season for Aaron Rodgers and he gets to break free from the handcuffs of a Mike McCarthy boring/safe offensive strategy. Adams is 4th in the league with 127 targets this season, 6th in receiving yards with 1115, and has a 67% catch rate. Julio Jones is on par with, or ahead of, Adams stats. Jones is 3rd with 133 targets this season and leads the entire NFL with 1322 yards. I think this will be the 2nd highest scoring game on the slate and both of these receivers will have a ton of yards and both will get into the end zone.

Other Options: Zay Jones, Adam Humpries, Michael Thomas, T.Y. Hilton, Cortland Sutton

NFL FantasyDraft Optimal Tight End:

This week since I am paying up at the three top skill positions I have to pay WAY down at tight end, Ian Thomas is my choice to pay down for at the position. Last week after Greg Olson left the game Thomas had 5 receptions for 46 yards totaling 9.6 fantasy points. It won’t take much production from Thomas to make value on his $5,200 salary.
