Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans (-4.5)

Houston (9-3) has been amazing the past nine weeks, so the following isn’t a reflection on the Texans. Indianapolis (6-6) is coming off a shutout loss to Jacksonville, maeaning it absolutely has to win this game. There’s an old saying that timing is everything. For the Colts, the desperation level is there. Not so much for Houston.

Pick: Indianapolis 34, Houston 31

New York Giants (-3.5) at Washington Redskins

Plan on watching this game? Unplug your television. Take it outside. Hire a crane. Have crane lift semi truck 100 feet into the air. Drop truck onto TV. Go inside. Sit there and think about what you almost did.

Pick: New York 21, Washington 16

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-3.5)

See above, with the added step of seeking counseling.

Pick: Buffalo 17, New York 14

New England Patriots (-7.5) at Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins (6-6) are hanging around in the playoff picture, and Miami has typically been a house of horrors for the Patriots (9-3). Still, tough to see New England losing here with such a tight race for a first-round bye.

Pick: New England 30, Miami 23

New Orleans Saints (-8) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Saints (10-2) are not getting swept in a season series by the Buccaneers (5-7). Tampa Bay should score some points, but it is also going give up plenty in an affair begging you to take the over.
