Last week turned the NFL on its head as many favorites went down. This week, there are a ton of either-or games that we want to help you win.

We are all still reeling after what was an insane week in the NFL. Last weekend, the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers and Washington Redskins all lost, hurting their seeding within the NFL playoff bracket. Some may not be able to recover at all from this blow. The upsets were terrible, but the good news is everyone had those same games, so if you’re in a picks pool you were probably all in the same boat.

There were a lot of lasting consequences that came out of Week 13. The Green Bay Packers finally fired head coach Mike McCarthy. The Redskins lost yet another quarterback to a broken leg, and now have to rely on Mark Sanchez. Now they are signing Josh Johnson (What? Why?) A.J. Green returned to the Bengals just to leave after a catch, and his season is now over.

Last week was not the week we finally went over .500 on the season, but we did not lose any ground either. That’s what you need to keep your head above water in the picks game. As long as you even out on the crazy weeks, you can end the season in the green. This week, there are seven matchups with a 3.5-point spread or less. The matchups are close, even with the Raiders and 49ers taking the field against good opponents. Let’s use these matchups to make some serious money.

Last Week: 8-8
Season Record: 90-91-6

As usual, we take our lines from the Westgate Sports Book.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans (-4)

This line shows a mixture of two things. Vegas was waiting for the Jacksonville Jaguars defense to win a game, and oddsmakers do not trust the Tennessee Titans to win big. This Jaguars team might have beaten Andrew Luck, but they only scored six points. There are massive issues here, and they can’t shut everyone out. It’s much more likely that last week was a fluke.

The Titans, on the other hand, had trouble with the New York Jets. They went down by more than two touchdowns, and needed to run all the way back to win a game against a terrible team. Sure, they won the game, but there are some obvious issues there.

The fact that this game is on Thursday Night Football, and the Jags are going with a QB without experience in this field (Cody Kessler if you forgot) makes me go with the Titans here. It would be much more comfortable with a three point spread, but this is what Vegas does. I don’t trust the Jags to score more than 10 points with this offense, even getting Leonard Fournette back. Tennessee won’t score a lot, but they will score enough.
